Balance Transfer to Barclaycard - DONE!
0% for 14 months, and my first payment isnt until 9th Feb which is cool.
And then when our deposit on current place is returned, can pay that off the remainder of my I.F.com card (which I've just BT-ed), and that card will be clear and not costing 19.9% APR any longer! HUZZAH!

Need to get on Dooyoo this evening and get whip cracking on that bad boy. Im determined to have reached the 50k by Christmas Eve, I wont withdraw it just yet, but just to know I've got there will be mega cool!

Off decorating today at our new house so no spending money...2 days off now and then payday on friday! Must control self with early payday!!!

Morning all and CAFC.Well done, you're so close to 50K on dooyoo. I'd never have the patience to do that.Yay for balance transfer as well. I'm waiting my student loan money to get into my other account so then I can transfer the whole amount to my Finnish bank account and then, finally pay it. Shame the pound is so low in relation to euro, I could do it being back up were it used to be, so I could pay more not less off my loan. :( S. loan is not payable before 5th off Jan, but transer can take up to a week and with Xmas and New Year being in between, I better get done earlier rather than later.

Always better (if you can) to get the money over there and ready Tirl', you dont want to be hit with any charges etc. Xmas bank hols can muck up quite a few things!

Dooyoo is my evening job tonight, aiming for 3 reviews. Need to write what items I'm going to review so I dont sit here tapping my fingers against lappy for 10 minutes trying to remember what it was!
    50k here I come LOL

Glad you like the siggy Doodle xx

I have a massive list of items to review I am just lazy at doing them, aiming for 3 today as well though :D

Right ladies can I have an opinion.

I opened an A&L account for the Quidco cashback, its just a e-saving type account.

Now do I leave it dormant and throw everything at my debts or do a save a small amount monthly to build up an emergency fund.

Other option was to build up some savings and then throw it at a debt.

Hard to know what to do as I am in "throw everything at debt" mode.

I only have one debt incurring interest at the moment. Well other than my loans but they are front loaded and paid monthly.

  • Hiya,

How are you? I think maybe have a small emergency fund. I was in the 'throw it all of my debts mode' but I think I might try and decrease my overdraft after Xmas (which I haven't included in my signature) as it stresses me out every month.
