All boys are !!!!!!! I love that PAID. Hope you manage to sort out your Christmas plans and remember it should be your holiday and be doing what you want to. I'm seeing my parents and I get on well with them (most of time!) Bit worried as usual my sister, aunt and cousin around too but everyone else has b*ggered off abroad to sunshine
We will hvae to organise a pets paradise night where we spoil all those pets we do have and remember the loved ones whom are somewhere in doggie heaven (treats, toys and endless walkies maybe?)
Christmas bonus in my account yesterday and a chunk out into savings today :A Not all of it in case I succumb to BIG tv

Hi all
Thank you for being so lovely about my outburst, I think I was a bit close to the edge because of the endless changes.
Things have changed twice more (he phoned his mum and then my family changed their plans) but now are much better as Iam there for only 24 hours and I feel a whole lot better about it. Phew.
Christmas would be OK if I weren't trapped there for so long, I think my parents and I have got a 24-36hr tolerance level (with a few bitten tongues in that timespan) and I don't drive so I have no escape as there is no public transport until 27th. Now OH and I are going down for 24 hours fom Xmas Eve so it should be OK. And parents don't know OH well enough to play up.
I have spent Christmas on my own before (best day of my life) but now I have a Niece who is old enough to expect me to be there it is a bit more difficult as I don't want to disappoint her. Note to self - learn to drive.
Anyhow, I just wanted to thank you all for your lovely support when I was in meltdown and to let you know that things look a whole lot brighter now.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

Hey PAID,
Sorry I wasn't around last night, but glad things have worked out in your favour. Christmas can be a very stressful time and I hate the way everyone is automatically expected to be 'jolly' all the time. I think people have a lot of unrealistic expectations for it.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I changed my $16 at the Post Office earlier and got £9.73 so am pleased with that and will pay it off a credit card in a mo (through Internet banking). I've had them sitting in my jewellery box since Aug 2003 so nice to send them back into circulation.
Ebay is slow at the moment, previous years has been really good but obviously everyone is going to all the sales and getting bargains there. Have sent all my Xmas parcels and just got a couple of cards to do tomorrow, then it's wrapping up I hate that bit the most especially as bf doesn't help which I think he should seeing as I bought and paid for it all.Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
Hello all
Nothing to really report from me.
Am going to be having a chat with DH shortly as we've become a bit lax with our spending again lately (just seen both our bank statements!) ARGH!
And we need to have an agreement and stick to it!
Call its a new years resolution of debts if you will, especially as it is now looking likely I'll be losing my job in the new year.... sad times....
so Im going to need to live on an absolute shoe string after xmas....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

yeah sucks a bit doesnt it....
Basically head of finance, who i get on with really well, phoned to give me a heads up that it wasnt looking good for our stores, and just a word in my ear...."to be prepared".... he didnt say it outright that I would lose my job, as he cant i guess....but i appreciate him giving me an insight....
Plus they are converting all assets into cash, and we are now selling a few lines of stock at below cost price to get money in.... so not good eh?
Sucks as I really love my job...Wealth is not measured by currency0
