Well it really depends on the dog Tiger. I have one disabled terrier who still wants to go out 3 times a day 30 minutes a time. My other terrier would be happy being on the go all day and it makes me feel a bit guilty as I cant take him out more on his own, the other boy would be too upset. They have a quarter of an acre to run around in but its not the same as taking them out as its all the sniffs and wees and people/dogs they meet that is the interest for them.

But then you get other dogs who only want 20 minutes walk a day especially if they have freedom of their garden/house.

My sister takes her dog out for 30 minutes in the morning and then an hour in the early evening.

It varies greatly how often i take my dog out. Its too cold for her at the moment here, even with a coat on! Shes a long haired Chihuahua and even though ive had quite a few dogs in my life, including a huge German Shepherd. She is definately the best dog ive ever had. And not yappy at all as people often expect. She hardly ever barks....only when the postman arrives lol. She can all but talk..understands everything, to the point that i sometimes have to spell things to my partner so she doesnt know what im saying....:rotfl: Tigerlilly i hope your new dog brings you the love and happiness that mine brings to me:D

Dogs are the most wonderful gift from God arent they. Creatures who love you more than they love themselves or even their own kind. Someone who will always be happy to see you, act as though they havent seen you for a year when you have only popped down the road for some tea bags for ten minutes. They know when you are down, they comfort you and when you are happy they are joyful with you.

Oh, if only people had the same love and attitude.

Well last night I put her in the kitchen & left the door open & she was fine. She came to me once & I just said bed & she went back to it! I called her to the bed today when the cat was on it as she's much calmer now, doesn't shake with excitement when she sees her! I shoulda called her Pumbaa she grunts alot, snores but the farting has stopped since she got home! Ok bbs off to take her round the park!

Kira doesn't like getting wet either... :) we have to manhandle her out the door or bribe her with a ball to get her to go widdles in the rain... bless...
As for cleaning accidents - use biological washing powder... what you are trying to do is remove the smell so she doesn't associate it with widdling :) and washing powder tends to smell nice so the place doesn't stink for you ;)

Getting a job and getting off benefits would be my first priority. And ensuring I then had plenty of money to pay for a dog.
