I'm here! She was excellent in the taxi, not a sound! She jumped in to! She's fine so far with the cat, & I left her in the kitchen to drink while I called the pet shop & not a sound. The cat flattened her ears & shot me a dirty look & went to her bed!

Ok that above was so you all know. She's more interested in the rats than the cat, she's lying watching them right now! She seems to not like other dogs, she growls when they're close. Someone there was adopting a Staff & something else & she didn't like them! But she was brill in the taxi, no mess, no noise nothing. She's always rolling over for belly rubs! She's quite thin, you can feel her backbone so i'm wondering if maybe she IS full Staff

Her gums look very sore but I dunno, are dogs gums bright? So far she's fine, I don't expect the cat to come out but the cat hasn't hissed or anything. Dog is happily rat watching!
  • cool a good start! is she watching the rats as opposed to trying to gnaw thrugh the bars? if so thats a good sign!
  • her gums should be nice and pink, but think you said something about vet looking at her teeth? maybe that has made her a bit sore. and dont worry too much about the other dogs thing, she may be fine when she has settled with you, but may be a bit nervous of strange dogs esp. when she is on a lead and cannot escape if needed. However, do be wary in the meantime (better to be safe than sorry and also not to stress her too much!)

lol she can't reach them I made sure of that, but when she's in the room I have her lead handle round my wrist! Just put her back in the kitchen, she's quiet so far. I'll have to clear the units up later! lol spoke too soon, she tried scratching the door lmao she seems to be trying to whimper but isn't loud, YET!

She watches the rats then rolls over for her belly rub! Be interested to see what happens when the pet shop delivery comes any second, i've never heard her bark! She's only scratched the door once & has given up I think

So far so good, she wouldn't pee before I brought her in, but once she'd had a sniff I took her out & she did. Soon as the delivery has been i'll nip her out again.

It is incredible if she can just watch them, mine would have been scrabbling over each other to get to them.

Bless her, what are you calling her? Will you be registering her with your own vet and having her checked over? She may just be nervous and thats why she growled when the other dogs were near her. Just tell her a stern "No" and point at her if she does it again. Then walk her away.
  • all sounds good to me so far - gotta go now but I will try and get online over the weekend to see how its going!
