How terrifying you mean! I made the cat a nice den though with her food & water bowls in & a box! Yes, she adores the empty box her cat carrier came in! It's the bottom half of the rat cage with a base on top as a lid & covered by curtains so the dog can't see in! lol
Delivery comes anytime, i'm hoping soon I need to leave about 11:20!0 -
My dogs are good as gold, but there is always that chance that a kiddie may frighten then and they nip. I always tell kids best not to stroke them.
I feed ours on Royal Canin skin support food - excellent for dogs with dodgey skin conditions. I also give them a daily dose of salmon oil (Kronch oil - available from ebay).
What sort of dog are you getting? I cant imagine how mine would cope with seeing a rat! But then they are both terriers.0 -
Tigerlilly...i know what you mean about it being hard to tell if she has been spayed. My dog only has a very very fine line on her tummy, and its barely noticeable.
Im guessing you are on your way to get her now! You must be so excited. Ill look out for your update later. xxxx0 -
Yep i'm off at 11:20 & back about 3:30! She's a Stafford x something unknown! lol I will be interested to see what you all think the unknown is when I get pics. She can't reach the rats now, i've split their cage into the top half & put them up on a chest of drawers so if she stands on her back legs her nose won't be high enough! Mind you, the cats fine so she should be they learn! The cats loving her den so hopefully she'll escape there if the dog chases her. But for all I know, the dog may have lived with cats her whole life! lol
I can't wait to see her again, hope she's good in the car, i'm worried cause she might have been thrown out of one, she was found wondering about in the village & the rescue said she might have been dumped by someone passing through x0 -
I had a dog that we felt had been thrown out of a car when I was a kid - she was spotted straying in the field next to her house, which was next to a main road, (in the miners strike, when, like now, loads of people dumped dogs they could not afford) and we eventually managed to catch her with the help of the rspca a week or so later - she was great in cars, but used to chase after blue cars for quite a while!0

Have a good journey... cant wait for the pics later... I hope she gets on with the cat0

Ohhhhh are you home yet? I only started reading this last night and can't wait to see photos of her!0

ha ha we are all patiently waiting?! - i have to go out about 4, wonder if she will be on before then?
My guess is she will be busy getting the dog settled in etc and that I will have to wait till monday to hear more! I am going away for the weekend - but the suspense will be killing me!0 -
I do so hope it works out for them.0
