actually.. looking at the KM link.. the growbags are spaced out... hence Lotus-eater's suggestion.... mmhhh.... my thought might not work........0

Mum to 4 - what about trying to split the frame into 2 sections (top and bottom) and having 2 growbags on each section? At the end of the day.. you will only know if it works by trying - as long as you are prepared to move growbags/plants if it doesn't work then all will work out!
I have several strawberry plants in a plastic tub with no drainholes - was a desperate measure as at the time I had nowhere to plant them. I water sparingly but make sure they have enough iyswim and those plants are thriving!!
I think the problem is the distance between the shelf brackets. It looks like to get looking like the one in the picture I would remove the bottom and third shelf.
I will keep fiddling with it. If i can plant 10 plants to a grow bag then that'll be 20 plants and say 3 hanging baskets with 3 plants in each and my donated planter which would hold about 10 - 15 plants I could easliy reduce my patch outside.
Now i just need to find out if i can grow strawberries in the polytunnel year after year or if you need new stock and if it's the later I won't be doing it.
If I can then great because I'll get them about 4 weeks earlier and 4 - 6 later.Kind Regards

i have it in my head that you replace plants every 3 years - you take runners in year 2 to grow on to replace the plants in year 3 (or end of year 3) so yes you replace but you can do it cheaper as you won't have to keep re-buying..0

Thank you for sending emails of plans. I am unable to open these attachments possibly because I had to remove Office from my system because of fault. I have WordPad only now. Oh well, nothing I can do. I appreciate the time you are spending on all this as Im sure we all are. Thanks for trying. Back to the drawing board. We had a good crop from our first year of allotment but had to put everything in quickly, for next year I really want a good plan, OH not too bothered about this but I have to have a system so I can use all the space and also get stuff growing in mini greenhouses in time.We are digging parsnips and carrots, have plenty of potatoes in garage and runner beans in freezer and have a crop of savoy caggages growing well. Forgotton what buying veggies is like. :T0
