Morning everyone!
Back is still dodgy today, missed a delivery whilst on the school run (bah) and youngest is off school yet again...this time his asthma (peak flow still depressed but today not coming up quite so well with his puffers) and the fact he was kicked in the head (accidently) yesterday at school causing him to have a headache and feel a little sick, so doing the keep a close eye due to head injury routine as advised by the hospital.
Having him home pretty much beggers up my plans for today...it is his birthday on Thursday and I had been expecting his present to arrive today (it did, I missed it on the school run!), I can't go out and about and sort out a card or wrapping paper and I can't lose myself in study.
So it is going to be a rush day tomorrow, eldest has a physio appointment, I will have to go to the depot to pick up the parcel (not enough time to have them try to deliver again), get the card and wrapping paper, study and do housework! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Morning 5.30 and still trying to get to sleep. Good luck with the Op - Careful with the Axe, what are they going to do to you?
Hope every one has a good day, I am going back to bed now with drink and picnic, sometimes a good binge eventually gets me to sleep.
Did anyone notice my post about the increase in age for bus passes? and other benefits such as free prescriptions? Another cutback that will affect lots of us. I already am untitled to a disabled bus pass for life (not that I am able to use buses) I just thought that some other people might be interested.
But now I will have to keep paying for my prescriptions for another five years by buying Pre-payments.
Its also going to effect other benefits and DLA/State Pension age and Incapacity etc.
If you're unable to leave the house without help then you can get a MED-ex card that entitles you to free prescriptions, it lasts for 5 years, regardless of whether your condition changes in that time. I realise this may not apply, but thought it might be of some use to someone! I've just got mine through.0 -
I've been out with DIL this morning, we took 4 month old GD for her last jabs, she was so good and hardly cried at all, I couldn't look while they did it
CWTA I forgot to say , I will be thinking of you on Friday and sending you healing vibes.
BZ I didnt know you were thinking of starting a family, how exciting :j good luck, and all I can say is rather you than me, I only have to be with my little GC for a short while and Im exhausted, not that Im complaining thoughI only wish I could spend some time with my little GS, my son has split with his Mum and becuase of his awful behaviour ( my sons ) she wont let us see GS anymore
I miss him so much and am hoping she will realise it's not our fault and come round soon.

*crawls in* So still waiting on the maxillo-facial department to get their act together... I was in agony Saturday night/Sunday morning, 120mg of codeine didn't touch it. I went to the emergency dental clinic Sunday afternoon, having had no sleep, and they confirmed what I'd thought - one of those teeth that's waiting to come out has gone very bad, and has an abscess developing. So the dentist cleared out some of the infection, packed in some antibacterial and filled that and the tooth next to it - all with no anaesthesia, because local doesn't work on me. So I kind of feel like !!!! right now.Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0

Hope the pain starts to subside soon Trialia! You poor thing! Something hot/cold on your cheek might be nice?
SueP hope you get to see your grandson again soon, hopefully once things settle?
I'm feeling pretty dopey coming off my Pregabalin, and will go back on it once I've come off it totally- just want to see if the extra skin/muscle sensitivity calms at all once I'm off it, though now it's causing other problems that seems pointless.... I may as well just start upping it again, it was doing more than I thought.
I've finally started to manage to sustain a better level ME-wise generally, still in bed 21 hours or so a day, and lying down for over 22 of those, but managing better propped up and I can get out as long as I can lie down in the car and don't sit up for longer than an hour- which I can manage with pillows etc- which is fab! Still a way to go before I'm back at pre-relapse level but will get there soon enough am sure.
Got some exciting valve caps that light up blue as my wheels go round on my chair at night, and multicoloured ones that change colour, though they work in the day too... Hoping there'll be less risk of collision at ice skating then! paha. Looking forward to it very much
Had a friend round yesterday who I know from school and college, she bought me Celebrations and a cute Me to You bear, and a big "goodbye" card from my Biology class which was so kind of her, was nice to hear all about what's going on etc..
Hope today's a good day for all!0 -
Trialia ((((gentle hug)))) ow, ow, ow, I really feel for you.:( Anything around the face can make you feel sooooo grotty.
Suep so sorry to hear about situation re GS. Hope his mum sees sense soon, and realises you are not responsible for your son's behaviour.
Hope everyone's having a good Wednesday; sunshine in Concrete Cow Country right now, so taking advantage to do lots of washing. Fun...... NOT!:D
Must get on - need to get off my bum and go clean out the skanky fridge. *rolleyes*If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Thanks everyone, Im going to send him something nice for Easter with a note to his Mum explaining how much I miss him and that Im not in contact with my son anymore. He stole some money from her and ran off to Spain ! It's never a dull moment in my house. So fingers crossed that will work.
LW your making me feel guilty, Im behind with the Flylady list today but was out this morning and my legs are aching, so Ive just sat here for a few mins rest before I will have a go at level 3, dont think I'll be getting a star today though.
Hope everyones ok, and got some sunshineReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.
