CWTA sorry you had such frustrating appt!
Poohbear, really sorry you're having such a horrible time, sending virtual hugs your way!
Jaz, it's so frustrating, is it worth changing GP's... I know you've got on well with her till now but if it means you get more help is it worth it? Could you ask for a referral to pain clinic? Pacing does have it good points, it would still mean she'd want you to exercise, but it's all about being careful, listening to your body and maintaining a better quality of life. It's not easy to get used to though, I spent many days in tears when my OT cut down all my "activity" when I was at my worst.
Have decided am going to start process for diagnosis of fibro, obviously I can't be sure, but I've been in so much pain recently, my super sensitivity in skin and muscles is driving me crazy and affecting the smallest things. I've just bought a FAB wheelchair cushion as even sitting hurts so bad. It cost me £100... but it's gel and air and it's bliss, and it's what the DLA is for (dad had to justify it for me, as felt silly spending that much)
Thankyou to LW and Morag for encouragement to step OUT of silly endless circle argument. It really made me very angry and I couldn't leave it... And welcome to JF... I can't remember, tis all the way at the top of the pagesorry! Sue, congratulations!!

Poohbear I'm so sorry. (((HUG))) for you mate.
Paw good news that your brother is going to be reasonably OK. I know what you mean about getting GP appointments. Luckily, we can book online now, otherwise I have to go to the desk and INSIST that they book me in; they can't argue, as there's a note on the file that I Don't Do Phones.Careful_with_that_Axe wrote: »Am trying to stay upbeat in terms of mood and make sure I have a little something to look forward to which is one thing I've identified that helps me quite a lot.
We enjoyed the cinema - saw The Fourth Kind. It was weird, but very interesting (I've heard of the case it's based on before). There's one coming out in December - Avatar - that I want to see, too.
Morag I make sure not to read posts from abusive members - I don't need the massive surge in my blood pressure!;)
I hope everyone's having as good a day as they can - wrap up warm, it's a beastly wind outside! And ((((HUGS)))) to all who are not having such a good time.
Chocolate covered Birsay biscuits on the table - help yourselves. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
There is a real "Cafe World" application on Facebook if anyone's interested relocating this discussion there - you can trade virtual foodstuffs with your friends on it too.0

PCL we all have times when we don't take stuff in properly, no-one's going to blame you. Just look after yourself and Chloe, and pop in when you can, even if it's just to wave. (((HUG))).If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I don't know, it would be a hard decision.
I have been to the pain clinic three times. Have another appointment 1st Feb. No luck so far.
But what does pacing involve? Not doing too much? I already do that! I mean you can't live with chronic fatigue and constant pain without pacing yourself to a degree. I mean what activity do they cut down on? I have to go to work. I go to my appointments. And that's my life, really! Not a lot I can cut down on, unless they pay for me to give up my job!
I don't have the energy to exercise. I wish I did.

And I think only one or two people do the virtual food thing anyway! Most of us are just here for support and chat, not for fake food."There is no medicine like hope, no incentive so great, and no tonic so powerful as expectation of something better tomorrow." - Orison Swett Marden0
