    Good morning all. :)

Got really stressed yesterday at work. I was getting close to either stabbing someone or bursting into tears. Managed to hold back both urges!

Really sorry to hear about your friend Invasion.

Oh no, a three day postal strike. :( I'm never going to get my blue badge congestion charge exemption.

  • Hello again everyone - I've missed you all.
It's been a bit hectic here the last coupla weeks - had to come home early from Scillys as Dad was really quite poorly. He wsn't even able to leave the hotel room. Have been babysitting him when his wife goes out and we don't really want to leave him on his own. Sister coming down today to spend some time with him but staying with me so he doesn't have to deal with any fuss or noise. It's been quite hard co-ordinating stuff so he's covered while his wife does her bits and pieces and I get to go to my various medical appointments; I seem to be having about 3 a week at the moment! He's fading really and seems to have aged 10 years in the last 10 days.

S/E is coming down next week and staying over Thursday night which will be a nice boost - we never fail to have lots of giggles.

lw So pleased you had such fun with Molly Dog - of course she loves spending time with you!

sharon How lovely to have surprise visit from little one.

I've read through to catch up but it's all disappeared into the ether, so I'll just send you all mahoosive hugs amd hope that the sun shines on you all today.

OMG I am having a bad time pressing the right buttons today.
First I pressed the Spam button and had to "un-spam" the thread, then I pressed "Like it" (which is OK cos I do), and finally I managed to press the Reply button!

Awww, Jaz sorry it was so stressful. Perhaps today will be better.

I think the magic wand speech actually means "I can't do a thing for you, but I'm not actually going to admit that."

Bl**dy postal strike - my BB renewal is held up, too; and I need it in order to park in wheelchair bays.

Auntie Axe it's good to see you back, but I'm really sorry that your dad seems to be so poorly.

  • Only just found out about L on AYME, I can't stop crying. She was such a lovely girl...

Tesco failed to deliver again this morning, I'm waiting for a manager to call back after a very patronizing women told me my card had failed. It certainly hasn't, there is more then enough money. Last week they eventually admitted it was signed for by another student here, but I'm still waiting for that refund, they promised it wouldn't happen again. They have delivered here for years, they should know to ask for ID. Had Waitrose deliver here yesterday, they had no problem getting here and checking they were giving the right person the shopping. This was just a top up of food and cold meds, which I really really need. It coming tomorrow simply isn't good enough.

I am so stressed....still no antibiotics, because my immune system needs to 'wake up'?! Pretty sure its spread to my kidneys now. I'm in agony.

And I'm supposed to be going to see my first footie game on Sunday :'(

  • Saucy, I'm a bit out of the loop, have you got Cystitis? If so, lots of Cranberry juice and some of the over the counter sachets work well - if you can actually get to the shops that is.
Popping a hot water bottle on your back may help a little. Hugs to you.

lw I will, indeed, pass your best wishes on to S/E. I do pass any news onto her so she can catch up.

  • I started off with a viral throat infection. Then a chest infection. Then the doctor said it was probably flu, and to stay in bed. Now I've got a kidney infection. No antibiotics, though, the doctor who came out on Monday said my immune system needs to 'wake up'. Boyfriend had it too, but he seems a lot better today, he's just got bad sinuses.

Ordered a hot water bottle, Sudafed, painkillers etc from Tesco for delivery between 10 and 12 today, they say it was rejected from the bank, Barclays say Tesco have been paid. Once again they couldn't get in touch with me even though they've rang me four times today alone, and it turns out the patronizing woman was a manager, and won't talk to me again. She told me to reschedule for Monday.

I give up. I can't do this. Nobody will help me, and I cant do this.
