I'll leave the heating on tonight..... don't want icicles on their needles in the morning....

The sun rose whilst I wasn't watching, or at least the sky went lighter and the rain heavier.
Will try and catch up on paperwork...ugh

At least the orange text is brighter than the actual day..;)

First coffee has brewed... have virtually a whole swimming pool of hot steamy coffee with buttered teacakes as floats:D:D:D:D

did a bit much today as my leg/back felt better--that soon changed but never mind!

I find that sharon - on good days I tend to do as much as I can, but I suffer more for it later.

At the moment, I'm under instruction to rest as much as possible, but it's driving me crazy. I keep looking at the stuff that needs doing in the house, and am trying to get little bits done, but really the whole house could do with a good clean.

Ah well, it will keep I suppose.

hello everyone, well its a bleak old day here although the trees outside are beautiful autumn colours. I have the windows open for some fresh air but I think I'll be closing them soon, more rain expected

Anyone hear the forecast - 'snow next week and not only in scotland!'

I could do with a cuppa and a teacake please? I'll help myself, thanks and whilst I'm here I'll do a few rows of my knitted slippers.

I have a cold and cough, felt very low yesterday but better now, head is cleared, just sore ribs from coughing so I need to work on getting rid of it. Trouble is I always end up even more deaf after a cold! :D

Hope you're all enjoying your day ;)

    Hi all

Glorious afternoon here - the sun is out:eek: I shall make the most of it because I read about the severe weather warning in the paper yesterday - Snow next week in the West Midlands:eek: As Birmingham is quite high up (built on 7 hills) then we always get snow:rolleyes: Still I have my snow boots and hopefully my ski pants will still fit, the jacket does and I have a fleecy ski hat and some gloves:D

Just feeling a tad jetlagged today - its the messing about with the clocks, I do wish they wouldn't do it, just leave us on BST for gawd's sake, there isn't a war on now y'know.

OH came to visit - he went home today, he has annoyed me this weekend, he is like an irritating child, whining about the dinner plans moaning about the sausages for the toad so I got out the ones he likes from the freezer only for him to stamp his foot in a paddywack saying "you're not feeding me sausages for dinner". I am now starting to wonder if all chaps behave like this or is it just those that are 40 going on 41 years old that are like it (he is younger than me).

I think I will just sit by the window watching the world go by.

Goddess I hope men don't turn like that when they hit 40 Horace as Dr Dragon gets to that magical number next year (I am also older than Dr Dragon :D).

I need tea and a decent sit down! Just been to Morrisons to get the shopping and my crutches slipped on the blue painted bit between the disabled bays and I cracked straight down onto my shattered right ankle - Dr Dragon ran to get help and a passing chap said he last heard language like that when he was doing basic training as a squaddie :rotfl:, so I am relaxing as much as I can (waiting for pain killers to kick in), then I am going to wash my paws and do more stitching!

Another cuppa anyone? (and can I have a side order of crudite, dips and Tapas and a VERY large bourbon (and not the biccie either) :D:D:D)

for a thread, and hello to you all!
I had the 6th operation on my hands 10 days ago - stitches out tomorrow hooray - and will be having the 7th in the next couple of months.
Like many of you, my disability is not very visible but it's damn painful and soooo frustrating - you don't realise how precious your hands are until you can't use them.
I also work for a small independent company which provides support, advice and practical solutions for people with any health condition, disability or difficulty which affects their daily life, so I feel I have a good insight into a whole range of stuff that a whole lot of people have to cope with.

Oh thanks, coffee and a chocolate brownie would be great!

Great to have a forum where we can say we are having a bad day and everyone else understands - it's not complaining, it's not whingeing it's just a fact. But I hope you are having a good day today!:T
