Hi everyone. Thanks for being so kind, Im sat here crying my eyes out :o Ive had really bad clusters over the last few days and they just turn my brain to mush. Sorry :o I always seem to make an idiot out of myself when I post

Hope everyone is feeling ok today. x
You don't need to apologise and you don't make an idiot of yourself. It is weird tho how your writing sort of turns out dyslexic when you're brewing for/recovering from a seizure. Very glad that you've not abandoned us, I would be seriously peed off if the crud from the Half Dead Thread put you off/down. You're always more than welcome here though and there'll always be someone about to lend an ear/shoulder :)

Big Zippy Congrats on getting married, i have been on to your photobucket but i can not find any picutres from the wedding could you point me in the right direction thanks.
Wondered where you'd been actually :) Thanks very much, I'm very happy :D
Most of the wedding pics (anything with my young nieces or identity details on) are password protected on photobucket, as MSE's such an open forum to post links on. I can send you the password, but there aren't any pics from the actual day on there yet and you've now added me on FB if I remember rightly? So there'll be loads on there :) Including in the "MSE fibro thread" group on there. :)
sue hope your dad being home again means he is feeling better. sound slike fun with your gd :) they are lucky to have you.
What she said. I've been thinking about your dad suep and wondering how he/you all have been getting on. :) Also been thinking about sharon and wondering how she's doing  She doesn't seem to have posted much and I really hope the whole fiasco with Half Dead Thread hasn't meant we'll lose touch with her?? That would really make me  The last thing she needs right now is to feel like she's lost even a smidge of the support she's had.
this is when i really wish there was someone else here to take care of everthing for me, someone with a decent memory lol
I know that feeling well pcl. I was pretty bad before me and DH (:D) got together...he does do a lot for me now, and it's nice to know I have him as backup, but tbh I still end up doing all the financial and organisational stuff!:rotfl:

Well, I'm back guys! I came back from honeymoon yesterday...on crutches (for those who haven't heard!)!! We stopped off at a smokehouse on the way home as DH wanted some smoked fish...while we were waiting we had a mooch round this old castle type bit that was next to the smokehouse. I've not been steady on my feet all week tbh (already slipped in Portpatrick on Monday-ish and have a lovely multicoloured bruise to show for it:rolleyes:) what with being so run down and full of infection (the sinusitis went on to settle in ears and on chest - the cough and blocked nose I still have :(), so I asked DH to go down the stairs (corkscrew stone steps) in front of me in case I fell...I was fine all the way down, til the very last step - which my ankle decided to give way on and I went over on it big time - to the point where I have a mark on the top of my foot where it smashed into the step! I was lay on the floor of the castle in agony, couldn't move, 2 nurses (one retired, one a midwife) came out from the smokehouse to help me and covered me up with about a zillion coats and was getting me to concentrate on my breathing (as if I was in labour - jokes were made and not all that well received at the time!;)) and called an ambulance. The paramedics immediately banged into/dropped something onto my foot!! And then started trying to get a cannula in so I could have some morphine (without prompting too!) but after about 10 attempts they gave up and gave me gas&air instead. 40min drive in the ambulance, strapped onto the stretcher thing, to the nearest hospital later and I was in Dumfries. I had xrays that they say shows there's nothing broken, but I can tell you now that this hurt(s) more than any broken bones I've ever had (of which there've been a few!!:o), so I'm on crutches and painkillers, but home now. I had to sit sideways on the back seat all the way home (another 3hrs from Dumfries) so I could have my foot up . I have to say tho that they were brilliant - from falling to us leaving the hospital in Dumfries was about 3hrs - including the journey to the hospital and the xrays and everything! Don't think you'd get that in England! In fact I was in another hospital this morning for longer than that....(more on that below)

Can you believe they tried fobbing me off with just cocodamol in the hospital? I can take more than that for a migraine at home!! Although, having said that, I did end up taking more tramadol than I rightfully should've (by complete accident cos I was half asleep when I was taking them) this morning, and after ringing my docs I had another trip in an ambulance to take me to my nearest hospital for observation incase I ODed! The ambos weren't at all concerned and said I could've taken a couple more and they still wouldn't be concerned, but it did make me feel numb in weird places, like my lips, etc and I'm trying not to have it for a bit if poss. I've had muscle spasm/twitches in my foot and leg a fair bit tho and it doesn't have hurt! And of course my arms/shoulders/hips/other leg/affected leg muscles are all complaining from having to over compensate/carry the burden that the affected foot can't take at the moment. Oh well. What can you do?

Hope I've not bored you all to tears? :o I'll come back tomorrow and tell you about the honeymoon if you're interested?

In the meantime, have some left over wedding cake. It was GINORMOUS!

Aw, there is nothing worse than something being wrong with the computer! I know it's silly, but I'm lost without mine, it's my entertainment, communication, support etc, so completely understand purplecat!

I just did my Tai Chi DVD for the first time, after I got for my birthday in July (whoops!)

When I next see a consultant and they start blathering on about my weight and exercise, and not listening to me that I put on weight since I got this, I can finally have a list of ammunition of exercise I've been doing!

Does anyone else do any they find helps?

I started a Pilates class this week, and a water mobility class. Trying to go to the gym once a week to do light exercises and build up some muscle strength. But didn't really like the water mobilty, so will swap that for swimming when the pool reopens. :) So far I just feel pain and exhaustion, but realise just one week of it won't do anything yet!!

It is a bit tbh. I'm starting to wallow again as all my muscles are screaming at me. They're really not happy about having to compensate for the dodgy ankle and the crutches are crucifying me  I dread needing to get up :( And my ibs is starting to rear it's head too...horrifyingly. MOAN, MOAN, MOAN!

pcl you have my sympathy. We even took my laptop on honeymoon with us! (not that it had internet up there, but still...! :rotfl:)

I realised too that I never said hi to Thrifysister! so  to you too!

  • hassie hope you ahve a great time.

bz of course we are interested in the honeymoon, well i am but if no one else is ill eat my hat and you can tell me all about it elsewhere.

jaz all they kept telling me when i was putting weight on due to meds was that it was controllable by diet and exrcise...and ignoring the midnight carb/sugar cravings.

ive just spent hours trying to get ff to not freeze, silly thing downloaded the newest one and i cant find anywhere to download the older version, so no nice extensions for me since i now have omg 2 tabs open in one window and so far it has not frozen. luckily my xmarks backs itself up regularly so all i have to remember for everywhere or reset is passwords.

have a good evenign/night everyone, dont eat all the biccies :)
  • Thanks again for your kind welcome - hugs to you all xx
