hey sleepymy, vegetarian and no dairy, does that make you a vegan?0

Hi everyone, hope you're all not doing too badly today. Frothy coffee for me please, 2 sugars, we've been to Toysrus and I badly need reviving.
Hope hubby is feeling a bit stronger soon, Margaret.

*whispers* yes, but I didn't want to frighten anyoneThe stupid things you do, you regret... if you have any sense, and if you don't regret them, maybe you're stupid. - Katharine Hepburn0 -
hello all
could i join? Can't keep up with any of the other 'clubs' going on this wonderful forum...so hoping i might have some chance here...apart from anything else, i've seen hardly any sniping on here!
I've got FMS, mild depression and anxiety, although the psych report did say i wasn't as depressed as they thought i would be..which was nice, i think!
Anyways, as an ex-bar manager, before this sodding thing took over temporarily, thought i'd offer my services to run the night cafe a couple of nights a week..as long as the fibro fog doesnt take over and i forget. (I have a wonderful boss who lets me pop in for a couple of hours when i'm feeling better and doesnt even mind on the days when i've forgotten to go in. I'm a very very lucky person!)
Hope everyone else is having an ok day, Cyberhugs to all

ta, for the coffee, was well needed... had to rush of to hospital 'cause daughter's dialysis gave cause for concern this morning.
Now where was I,

Cor you night-timers are a messy lot, aincha?
G'day all..wasn't me Daisy, I left it nice and tidy honest. Think there were a couple of lurkers after I left, hope they'll make themselves known when they're sure we don't bite. France eh? Ooh good I'm a real Francophile, even have a little gite somewhere down south west in the middle of a donkey sanctuary. Appropriate, huh? We could all go when the weather's better, bit of a squeeze but the pool's big enough for everyone
Margaretclare how awful for you both, hope all goes well from now on. 'Dodgy' hugs to you :grouphug:
Sleepymy don't whisper cos there's nothing wrong with being vegan..I'm not but if that's the lifestyle you choose good luck to you.
Rosieben my mum is 87, goes swimming weekly, walks and dances...and drags me away on at least 2 holidays every year. I can't keep up ha ha :rotfl:
I was rushing to get to an appt this morning and think I got caught by one of 'those' camera vans. Oh heck, my first ever points/fine, that's all I need. Then the person I was due to see had forgotten  so it was a wasted journey anyway. I put two loads of washing out, popped to the shops and it tee'd down while I was out. Oh well, somedays you're the windscreen, today I was the fly
Can I have a brioche please, and a mug of hot choccie to dip it in? I'd have me usual EG but where I go they just don't know any other tea than Lipton  . Then I'll have a late siesta, all this running around is exhausting, and I'm out on the town tonight..well a Church meeting anyway. I sure know how to live, don't I?:D

Well I'd love to be a member of the Old Crocks club:D
Thanks for the wet wipe - I was covered in egg:eek: After slipping out earlier, I went and lay on the sofa for a while and had a good nap as I needed to recover from the bad night I had on Saturday or should that be the early hours of yesterday morning:rolleyes:
Spoke to my landlord this morning, who gave me some waffle about how he wasn't renewing the chap's tenancy agreement (well he has never renewed mine, I just pay the rent each month). I saw one of his employees today as he was speaking to my neighbour, the pair of us where having a good whinge about the neighbour from hell because every weekend he has a loud party, he smokes dope which stinks out all the flats and this was the first time his mad ex wife/girlfriend came round waking up the neighbourhood. According to my neighbour (who also called the police) that the mad woman was arrested:j The pair of us suggested that our landlord come and stay on a Saturday night to see what we have to put up with, its just not on. Mind you we both said that we didnt pay £525 and £575 a month respectively for rent (she pays more than me because she is living with her chap) to put up with that racket.
Think I will just put my feet up and maybe have a mug of hot sweet tea - oh and I'll have a jammy donut too please.0 -
that's that pile of washing done, I'm going to sit in the corner with my book and a large coffee.
wake me up when it's time to go home.....0 -
Goodness me, I slip out for a bit of physio, and miss all the gossip!
Thanks for doing the dishes Alto, though it might have been easier to use the dishwasher! Hope your daughter is okay now? What you reading?
Welcome littlemissmanic you should find everyone here is kind and helpful - anyone who isn't nice has to be force fed cream cakes till they cheer up
Sparrer, I remember reading years ago about a donkey sanctuary in france that had gites - I think it was time shares but very reasonable, is that the same one? I was going to make enquiries but lost the info and then, well time just rolled on....
Sleepy, your post made me laugh - I couldn't see what you were whispering at first!
Right anyone for ben and jerry's phish food ice cream with a splash of baileys? (well, it has turned 6pm.....)I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
