hehe.. This gets stranger the longer it goes on. My order started with 26 items (I think) on one delivery date after Christmas. After tring the above, it split into two shipments, one before, one after.

I've now been informed it's been split into 6! Each having between 1 and 6 items in it.

My postman's going to love me!

This worked for me thanx go to the OP.

I ordered my stuff on 18th late afternoon it originally said after 30th Dec so I did as the OP said and it changed to estimate delivery by the 24th Dec.I didn't think anymore of it thought it was just a glitch and it would get here after the 30th. Today I have had an email saying its been dispatched. So I'm very happy as it means that I can give it as a present. Thank you :beer:

One small word of advice, check that the splitting of orders, linked to this fudge on delivery choice, does not result in their computer thinking you have order value(s) below the free delivery level. It happened to me and I've just had to phone them to get it refunded.

This looks as though it will still work. I just tried it and the expected delivery date of my order has just advanced from mid next week to the end of this week. Excellent !

This worked for me on an order I placed on 12th December so I decided to try again when I placed my last order on 27th December.

The original delivery estimate was 4th January but after changing the delivery method, etc it changed to a dispatch date of 28th with delivery estimate of 30th December. Unfortunately it didn't work this time and they didn't post it out until 31st December and it arrived on 5th January.

Didn't work for me but it is always worth another try.

I placed an order with amazon and then remembered this old thread.

It appears to still work (whether it actually speeds up dispatch of the order - only time will tell):

it started with "delivery estimate: 19 Jul 2006 - 21 Jul 2006"

After 'monkeying' about with the delivery options, it now says: "delivery estimate: 15 Jul 2006 - 17 Jul 2006"

So it'll be interesting to see when the items are actually dispatched.
