Pinky, could you make some room for me in your inbox?
I've been trying to PM you all dayI am a coffee bean0 -
Hugs to all.
Umm. Not very OS today.tea will be chops (remoska) and rice (tefal thingy).
And now I have started to type this little bear is stirring from a long but much needed nap.
But... I've seen a house I want to move to. We can't really afford to move, and it is the wrong time in the housing market, and I can think of all sorts of objections. Dear heart will think of more. However next door has the street looking like a junk yard (although they are lovely people and if we do move I shall miss them a great deal) and the people at the back are having a few marital problems due to someone having strayed. They are having their problems at the tops of their voices. Repeatedly. Usually after midnight. With extra added alcohol. I am just glad that little bear is a little slow in talking otherwise I have a dreadful suspicion about what he would be saying.
And... I've just done a few rows of knitting with video tape. I think it will make a funky little bag (if that is the correct expression) but I wouldn't want to use it for underwear. Once I have got a little further I shall take a little picture and try and work out how to post it.
The house I want to move to is so close to where dear heart works, it would be a huge saving on a daily twenty mile trip, and it is so much more rural. However I would be moving from a four bed (filled with rubbish), three reception (also filled with rubbish) plus large kitchen (filled with cupboards full of rubbish) and a tiny bathroom with just about room for the necessities to a two up two down cottage. But I don't have anything more than a small square of concrete here and there is quite a large strip of garden for little bear to play in at this dream house. And of course it is not everyone's idea of a dream house as it is next to a railway line and looks like a repossession.
I shall be posting more on the declutter thread.

Mad Cash Cow - just read the end of yesterday's thread! To make really lemony muffins you could treat them like lemon drizzle cake and squeeze a lemon over them - we did this as I was making ld cake in the moski and at the time didn't have a traybake pan that would fit in, they were yummy!
Sybil - good luck with the house! I'm interested in your knitting, can't wait for some pics! xGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000 -
Just want to say a huge thank you for finding the parsnip soup recipe. It was the one I had been looking for. Soup duly made (and GOOOOOOOD:A )Mrs Catman has been suffering with a nasty cold and it has perked her up no end.
I did write the name of the fantastic OS'er:A :A but have managed to misplace my note to self(why does real life and work get in the way of posting I wonder)
Mrs C is still not very well so am on cooking duties tonight. We shall be having the left over soup, a tuna pasta bake with salad and later on I am going to have a go at the chocolate pudding in a mug. Fingers crossed for me please.
I hope everybody is well and that the warm, supportive, welcoming and friendly atmosphere has been restored.
I will of course report any failures(or hopefully successes)

Catman chocolate pudding in a mug sounds just what a poorly missis needs. I've got a bad cold too and my OH wouldn't know where to start with a choc pud.
Well, we're waiting for aforementioned OH to return so that we can eat the mince roly poly I've made. I decided this was a much better idea than Jamie oliver's mince beef wellington.
I rolled a 500g pack of puff pastry (I like all-butter pastry) into a big rectangle about 18'' by 24''. I then spread a lb of mince mixed with finely chopped onion, carrot, celery and leek*, salt, pepper, a squirt of ketchup and a splash of Worcester sauce all over the pastry. Next I rolled it up from the long edge, put it on a baking tray and baked it for 1 hour at 180c -I turned it up to 200c to brown the top. Obviously the pastry will be soggy in the middle of the roll, but we like that;)
I'm serving it with gravy, peas and carrots. No spuds because of the pastry. I hope it is OK, looks lovely.

Evening everyone
Thriftlady that sounds yummy, I may make that over the weekend although I will have to serve potato with mine, OH doesn't think its a meal unless there is potato on the plate
Have only just got in from work, having cheese omlette and chips tonight, suddenly fancied it. The lamb steaks done in the SC yesterday were lovely. The meat just fell apart, will certainly do them in there again, providing I find more YS ones :rotfl:
I too use my library a lot, they are only open one late night, on a Monday, so I take my wally trolley to work with me as I usually get about 8 books a week.
Better get on on and grate some cheese, OH has just rung to say he is on his way.
Have a good evening xxxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

Just to say the mince roly was a roaring success. I highly recommend it -yum yum yum
I meant to say earlier to Floss -libraries are the best thing ever. I use mine every week despite buying lots of books too.0 -
another library fan here too. I used it even more once I found my local library's website, meaning I can renew online and order books in from other libraries. I particularly like getting cook books from the library. I've got so many on my shelf that I only ever use one or two recipes from - such a waste of money and shelf space.weaving through the chaos...0
