Morning Everyone
The builders are here, can't tell you how please I am. I will have a lovely lounge ready for the new wood burner to go in.
Plans for today are severally limited due to the fact I cant move in my tiny house as the contents of the lounge are crammed into every nock and crannie. I will proberbly make some Twinks this afternoon and DD has requested Shepherds Pie for tea.
DH is out with a friend this evening so I will be hoping to get dd in bed early, shes now getting so tired with 5 mornings pre-school + ballet + swimming. Its been a long half term and we still have a week before the holiday.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Bootsalebabe - (((hugs))) to your DD and also to you today on this very sad day xxxxDo what you love :happyhear0

((((Bootsalebabe and her DD)))))
Made a huge low carb brekkie in the Remoska earlier and have just quartered a chicken and put it in the moski to cook.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the french sticks and a few rolls I made last night in it as well.
Was kicking myself that the six space metal muffin tin would not fit in the moski when I found my 12 space silicone one - had lightbulb moment- cut it in half and it fits perfectly!!
Might make cakes or scones later and see how they turn out. It is much easier to quickly and gently clean the moski pan than to deal with the oven trays etc that I used to use.
Nice day so washing machine is whirring and DH is working from home so wandering about behind me. Have just given him some home made bread so he is quite happy ATM!
Was at Tesco yesterday and found some really nice wrapping paper- five sheets of it for 50 pence! Grabbed two lots as my twin DDs have a birthday at the weekend and I want to wrap up pressies.
The jewellery I ordered from Amazon may not arrive in time for their birthday but it was such a bargainthat I don't mind.
The local charity shop has had an old fashioned oil lamp in the window for a week and I have been sorely tempted but can't smuggle it past DH!!!!
Hugs to everyone and just popping out to the weekly market before it starts to pack up."This site is addictive!"

:hello:Good Morning!
The sun is shining here too! Life is good! After a major health scare on Monday I refuse to get upset over the little things in life anymore! Simply not worth it! I am sore but I am ok and I am :jjumping for joy, well almost.
Anyway my diet has to now be low salt but not no salt! owing to an unrelated health issue showing up (high bp) so I am experimenting with my baking for a while. Has anyone else had to deal with this? Any good suitable low salt recipes would be gratefully received!
Breakfast - hm remoska flapjack (no salt) and a banana, fruit tea
lunch - egg and tomato roll, orange juice
Dinner - potato and pea curry, rice and lots of bits to put on top malaysian style (pineapple, tomato, cucumber, banana, coconut but NOT peanuts:()
pudding - froz fruit salad
I'm pottering around today and attempting to make a couple of lap quilts from a surplus (since dd moved back in) double bed quilt and 2 single duvet covers.
I intend to have some playtime with my hobbies everyday, so will be sewing, knitting and card making/scrapbooking my little heart out. lol!
My friend from work is coming round to share a tray of tea soon so I had better go and set out my best tea set to cheer us up. She has (with permission) rescued an old book holder from the rubbish bin at school as she thought it might be perfect for me to store my card making papers on!:T
Have a good day everyone and (((hugs)))) if you need one
Thank you so much for the pm Haribo - you are an angel to have noticed! and I am very grateful!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Just finishing my coffee before I hang up some more washing (sunny here today thank goodness) and put my shopping away. I love putting my shopping away! Is that a bit weird?:o
My meat order from the butcher turned out not to be ready-frozen so I'm using some of the mince for supper tonight. I thought I'd try Jamie Oliver's Minced Beef Wellington from the new book as I've got a packet of puff pastry out of the freezer. I'll use some of my frozen veg hash instead of chopped onion, carrot and celery;) and I'll make a spot of gravy to go with it -delicious.
I'm off to start off a batch of yogurt.0 -
Hi everyone:hello:
Had an awful nights, no sleep at all, so woke up quite late:o
OS wise i'm washing, drying, doing floors, making potato and leek soup:D
It's a lovely sunny day here today, so i'm taking the houndlets for a good walk, then off to see Dad later on, he's not good but I wont go on about it:o
HUGS to all in need, esp BOOTSALEBABE and DD xxx:A"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I haven't posted for ages so just popping in to see how everyone is.
It's a beautiful day here so the washing is all out and blowing nicely. I've just blended some lovely chicken soup which was in the SC all night and will make chicken pie for dinner. I've put some stuffed apples in the SC, hope they turn out OK.
Hugs to anyone who wants one and have a nice day all.0 -

Not me - DD makes all mineWe bought our first batch of carding stuff from eBay (from Crazychick as it happens
). There are some great bargains if you have a quick search
Penny. x
The cards I have received from you have always been beautiful, so many thanks to your lovely daughter. You don't fancy lending her to me for a bit of 'work experience' do you?I'm still missing my dd and could do with a bit of girlie company.
Thanks for suggesting ebay. I'm having a look there now. If anyone else has any other ideas where to get toppers/embelishments at a reasonable price I'd really appreciate it.
Bootsalebable, thinking of you and your family today.

Betheebee, have you tried D&DD's apple braid? Or maybe a chutney?
Twink, am pleased to hear you're a library user - that service is part of my division at work & it's so sad to see the borrower numbers dropping. You'd think more people would use them, but books can be so cheap in the supermarkets now that I often throw them in with my shopping
Not much doing today, WM on, ironing to do when I get home from work, roasted peppers topped with Y/S brie for supper, with y/s hot-cross bun & butter pudding for afters, if I can make the custard! OH usually makes it, but I thought I'd suprise himcoz his Quo concert was cancelled last night due to illness in the band. At least he will get his money back if he can't make the new date.
