Hi BOB and all..your walk sounded refreshing yesterday..it's nice to chill out sometimes.
Hope MR B has finished cleaning that car and that he does hand it in tomorrow.0 -
He has to arrange for it going back and hasn't done that bit yet....plus in reality we need two cars if i am on supply, so he has to organise another one as i am damned if he is ruining my car like he did with the other one.
Watch this space ?
Even if he can arrange reduced finance as an alternative, what to do eh?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Why are you getting rid of it if you need two cars?...or will it be cheaper for him to get about on a bus etc.0

Breakdown of car finance at the moment.
Car finance owing-£4,200 at 10% APR finishes in Jan 2011, £201 per month.
Nissan Primera has now got 86,000 miles on clock
It uses about £45-£50 per week in petrol.
Total cost per month without car tax etc is roughly around the £400 mark.
with MOT,services and car tax looking at anothe £25 a month on top and another £28 per month insurance. So his car realistically costs £450 per month to run.
If he refinances it will be left paying over a longer period and car worth nowt, but can hand it back in and hopefully get a medium sized car. Trouble is he will be looking at 19.9% APR with something like carcraft as he is a bit lax. That's if they give him finance!
They have a deal £99 deposit and £99 per month for first year, then roughly £135 per month for last four years.
First year would be £150 running costs per month finance, inurance, MOT and tax. On a medium car would be looking at about £35 per week petrol £140 on petrol.
Total running costs would then be £290 saving about £160 a month.
Would that be worth going for? Or look for a banger and fingers crossed?Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
