  • Morning Taxi, i have a lot on subscribed threads, but generally like to have a mooch so will see which ones were on the main page, pop in on daily chat(lurk) then post on a few i have read and caught up on.
My routine has gone so i open a tab for diaries and one for DFW and sometimes one for oldstyle.

Nothing much to report today as no paid work so will be DFW instead as well as washing the bedding. I think i will be off for a walk too as not very happy with DD2 at the moment and can smell another argument coming on..teenagers...grrrrr

Hi bob - uh oh, all day in the house with teenagers ...yep, a walk sounds a good idea.

I've always used User Control on the site far too much, and the new situation is reinforcing that, which is a bit of a pain, but its just one more board to go to, really - in any case, I was using dfw, greenfingered, old style, freebies, giol, vouchers. Blimey, the list just goes on. I really do need to get a life! Off to get a life (coffee in the garden).

Sorry Olive! Its lovely out there - of course you want to be off prompt. Hope the afternoon flies by, and you can get some time in the garden to do that compost bin.

There was no need to move me up Wol, as i don't like the changes re diaries and sub boards..feels all isolated and i am having tabs open so i can look at stuff.

Ey up Bob, hope everything is good with you and you managed to take your grrr-iness out on your walk. I agree re the diaries - had there been yet another debate on it recently? I tend to go to subscribed threads first, then to DFW, but I think this will mean less 'stumbling' on new people's diaries for me - would tend to read a few when it was quiet in DFW.. ah well, we'll see!!

Yep, what is it about Monday's? Had a nice day yesterday and came back to strops with daughter. She had a sleepover with mate left them all nice and cosey. She had gone out with friends and they ended up in the park:mad: She went along with it all...but bloomin eck, i wouldn't go down there in the dark with dorky mates..there was too much hassle there last year and that poor young girl got stabbed.
Went to pick her up and in all fairness she was honest enough to tell us and nothing happened but hubby went overboard. As El knows they are easy to talk to and i feel priviledged that they will tell us stuff. Any way upshot was that because of the way dad talked to her after i had told her off ( she apologised and promised it wouldn't happen again) she was in a mood.. i let her come on the walk and gave her the opportunity to talk so all good again.
It is all about getting a balance in life. Us not getting into panic, because she has a life..like i said to hubby put boundaries in place and they are there to be tested..but being firm and fair is the way to go..not OMG, you are grounded for a year like forever, no birthdays etc..jeez even i didn't want to talk to him after that.

I promised and i would help if i can re the garden.
Teenage angst has calmed down, it was a spur of the moment things that she regrets as do a couple of the others. It is easier to deal with other folks kids..i think it is the Kevin and Perry Factor, ey up Mrs.Patterson..:rotfl:
