I may be the only counsellor in the UK with a postgraduate diploma in astronomy. And membership of The Mars Society, a pressure group to promote human space flight to Mars... I seriously, seriously love science!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks for your imput guys.
I teach the Primary curriculum Fay. My main degree is in English, although i show an appalling lack of grammar on here at times...a case of brain and hand co-ordination out of the window:rolleyes:
I also have three A level's all Science based:D When i decided to re-train as a teacher though i went to college again and took a years course where i opted for English and history before i undertook my TT course.
So i am a bit of a Jack of all Trades.
Thanks for the info about Gumtree ISOM have had a quick look on there.
Just a quickie today as it is DS1's birthday:beer: :j and Red nose day, so will be busy and thankful i ain't working. I am also full of a cold as well, so just as well today as legs feel all shakey.
Have also just turned down an invite for lunchas i want to be feeling better for this evening.
Oh and i am having to think of a 70's costume for a party on the 21st. OOooo a social life:cool: :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a good one. BOB XX:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Ooh, Bob, I didn't know about your science A levels .... when I had my career crisis in my early 30s, I should've retrained as a scientist, I really should, I don't fancy starting from scratch now .... glad you managed to get the cold under control - and have a good day with the dibbers and dobbers (I love that, I really do).2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Was actually a very good day. I met a lot of people from my Youth and one who is now a trainer on a local camping place:eek: So yep, it was full of nutters:rotfl:
Re A levels. Physics, biology, geology and an AO in Maths with stats:o Hated the maths one and i also undertook Human Biology A level after i left college. So you could say i do like Science somewhat. Never got high enough grades overall though to go completely geekified. Highest was B. You needed an A to be a full geek.:D
I do put it to good use though as i understand the Primary Science curriculum and also muck around with Design and Technology..i did a minor in that at Uni and had top overall grades for my exhibition/exam:cool: All on the Romans...those were the days. I can also excercise my inner geek with it, i particularly like Geology..it Rocks:rotfl: :rotfl:
I hide any knowledge of maths though in School as they are always on the tout for Maths co ordinators:eek: Would be like pulling teeth doing that job.
Nothing debt busting wise going on today as was busy, but i have checked banking, had a no spend day as was all paid for including lunch so was very DFW.
Hope you have all had a good one.BOB xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
