BOB'S Cunning Plan
Comments
-
Tell them to take a big jump most likely Bob.
Are there other options that you could use?
I would dearly like too Beanie, and this is the one linked to County:mad: It is supposed to give me the correct payscale instead of robbing rates of some of the other agencies. (one i found out made more than i did for teaching a bunch of hooligans:mad: )
I just feel so fed up about it all. Working sporadically is no good.:oBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

No unfortunatly working sporadically is no good at all
Im not sure what other options you might be interested in at all?
What else may be workable for you in the short/medium term.

It doesn't make sense!!!...if you've been phoning in the morning then why are they sending you e-mails?..seems like they don't know what they are doing.0

Taxi has a point ....
I know that a cousin of mine does supply work at a local school, in fact at *one* local school - is there any way you could, say, connect with a couple of the schools you go to, and arrange something with them individually? I've no idea what basis ..... sorry, it sounds a bit woolly, it just must be so frustrating for you.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Sorry, i phone in at least three times a week to update them on availability and to try and book worl in advance. That way i am not setting off at the last minute, although i am available for work if it fits in.
when i have rung they have told me that there has been no work available and they would ring me if there was. Hence the emails after i got mad at the run round from them. Those were the two replies, no alterations except for names at the beginning and end.Karmacat wrote:I know that a cousin of mine does supply work at a local school, in fact at *one* local school - is there any way you could, say, connect with a couple of the schools you go to, and arrange something with them individually? That is how i used to arrange it. I picked up work last year like this at least it was at school's i knew. The reference about the website, was because he told me contracts were on there and i was unable to access them and kept being re routed in a loop back to the same page. I have checked all my security to ensure it is nothing my side causing this.
I am just going to have a blitz on Schools locally and see what happens.:o
I just wanted to show what had happened during the day and wondered if anyone had any thoughts how to deal with these agencies. A couple of years ago i could ring up and fill my diary, now it seems that i have to constantly ring up and just keep getting the run around.
That's my take on it anyway.:oBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

very frustrating bob...may be that there are more teachers and less jobs? Would def complain about the website - sounds useless! Are there any other agencies you could use? What about doing some home tutoring for kids struggling? Could you advertise on local web pages - worked for my babysitting...gumtree works well!

Home tutoring! Thats an idea - I know someone doing that, and its £30 an hour in some subjects (science
). Its steady, too, of course.

Oh dear Bob, that sounds like a big hassle - don't think they know what they're doing! It sounds bizarre to me as when I've had any contact with employment agencies in the past they won't leave you alone even when you say you've found yourself a job and don't need them anymore!! Bit different with this sort of thing I suppose but they do seem strange. Hope you manage to get it sorted.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

That sounds like a good idea - I did a bit up here for someone needing some botanical latin tuition and some propagation work (filled in when someone else was sick).
If you can get some regular folk then it works well around your times as well I think.
Dunno what you teach (will read more later promise sorry to be so dumb) but have you gone to the local FE/HE colleges as well? That does pay well - or thought of running an evening course?Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
