I just checked and I have an email from them saying the same thing, I posted their words up on pvr101.blogspot.com

    Thanks Key!
  • Thanks for posting this information - certainly looks hopeful.
  • Further to my post yesterday I can now confirm that I have a bug with the daily timer function. If you select a program from the EPG and choose the daily option, then it will work correctly for 7 days. On the 8th and subsequent days, although the timer event still shows in the timers list and the red dot shows in the EPG, the unit does not record the selected program.
I have now deselected the program in the timers list by clearing all timers and have reset the choice in the EPG selection to daily. I expect it will work tomorrow and for the next 7 days and will fail on the 8th day.

Not a major problem really, just another annoyance. Perhaps the now scheduled 1.2 download will fix this too?

Maybe too much to hope for, as they may not know about it.

I've added it to our list of bugs now anyway.

Anyone want to take bets that the latest software download won't fix the no signal problem or the host of other 'quirks'.

why not just take it back ?

Lots of reasons. It's cheap, it looks Ok, it's almost silent and it's really easy to use, and the support people are doing what they are paid to do, even if they have been a little overwhelmed by the number of calls they've had.

Hi pazzazz, you got a thank you by mistake, however what I want, is what I paid for, not just my money back.

When sorted this will be the best buy in the pvr market so far. If you have a £120 or more to spare then get a Humax or Topfield.
I am prepared to wait, having had a failed ( and much more expensive) Fusion, and Sagem. I can still get my money back later

  • Hi folks, good news on OTA front and I hope everyones perserverance pays off on the no signal fault amongst others. This could be such a great little machine, I have stuck it out this far and so far my machine is recording fine, deleting fine, storing fine. Apart from the no signal fault which occurs about twice every evening I really like this little box and have become quite attached.

As a matter of interest has anyone looked inside? what kind of hard drive? is an upgrade possible and how far could we go?
    P.S.
Great site with lots of good info and ideas, keep it up

Someone sent me a photo recently. I'll post it up later.

The HD appears to be a standard IDE drive. Changing it would, I'm sure, invalidate the warranty!
