Bring it back - my boss had one it was a nightmare - he brought it back - got a refund no problem - Aldi will not be surprised to see you. Two weeks later he bought the last model they sold, he can't praise it enough - no problems whatsoever

ive had it over a year now though and not sure wher the receipt is!

I've got my receipt and ALDI say they won't do anything about it because it's not in guarantee anymore, I also phoned Technosonic who say they won't do anything about it either (even though they've known all along about the ongoing problems - could be a call to Trading Standards I feel)

How long have you had it - my boss bought his last November so it was still within the first year. Don't these come with 3 years guarantee like most Aldi products - the problem is that aldi arn't interested after the first year - they send you to the manufacturer. There is enough publicity on this and other forums about this kit - might be worth trying Aldi Head office - same applies to the person without the reciept - they only sell these 2 or three times a year and they change the specs each time, so they should be able to tell when you bought it. The problem might be proving that you never got it elsewher - has the box got Aldi logos or something similar?

If it is the Technosonic PVR101 which was first sold by Aldi in Dec 2005 then it did not have the 3 year manufacturers warranty that did apply to the Tevion versions which were sold at Aldi in June 2006 and Nov 2006.
