That hasn't hapened to me. I've had version 2 for a week now with no problems really. No signal box has reared it's ugly head a time or two but a booster has sorted that out. That was never a problem with the second (or Third?) version where everything was at top whack so they can obviously boost the signal with the software somehow. Wish they would do that again as it looks like I need a new aerial (not the poxy thing I bought from Maplin a while back, what a piece of junk that was!).

i cant believe this thread is still going!
anyway glad it is as i have a problem now...ive tried searching but not found anything.
it seem to have upgraded itself to v.2.0(uk)52 but whenever i set a recording and go back to watching tv i get a no signal blue box and have to reset the Pvt with the switch on the back to get it right again.
anyone else found this happening?
In the majority of cases it's not and never has been real loss of signal, just the way the unit handles the processing of it.

Forget what I said about this being the best firmware version so far. Version 2 is crap. The no signal box rears it's ugly head more than it ever did in earlier versions. When I am recording anything other programmes become unwatchable as they break up horrendously. I would rather have a dodgy fast forward than a box I can't watch! Looking at the DS forum posted above it seems everyone else is having the same nightmare too.
One point though is that I added a signal booster and that has helped a bit, without it my signal level was at about 50% but with the booster that has gone up to 60%ish. Not a huge difference but the general performance is more stable with it and recordings don't break up like they were doing without it.

Mine's gone belly-up as well - wish I'd left auto-update off!!!
Same as everyone, mine (Tevion PVR 801) keeps giving the 'No Signal' message and the picture/sound starts breaking up - cured by power on/off but as it makes recordings hit and miss it's pretty much useless.
To be honest I don't want to return it as it's been a cracking machine up to now and the dual record via firmware update was a welcome addition, but the one year with Aldi is up in three weeks so, even though it's a three year warranty, I'm loathe to go past the 12 months 'cause then I'll have to deal with Tevion or whoever.

I'm getting the breaking up / no signal as well.
Mine's been fairly good up until now, but since v2.0 is virtually unusable.
And I've just wasted an hour checking my aerial position / joints - should have looked on the interweb first!
Roll on v1.9 being repackaged as v2.1!!

I just gave up on the PVR101. I'm submitting a claim on my extended warranty.
The last straw was asking Key Technologies for help on the latest problem and being referred to advice I'd posted in another forum!
Technotrend's software development for this box has been shocking :sad:0
