Took me 20 minutes to get through - and then the bloke didn't know anything about it. He is getting an engineer to call me back (he's not in until 10.30am). I warned him that he is going to be very busy today - though I don't think he realised to what extent he will be!
Worse still for me is that when I came to record it said my hard disk space was low!!!!! When I looked at the status it said 0GB available!!!!!! Looking at the manual there are no formatting hard disk instructions so I chose 'Format Hard Disk' and it is now sat there - I am not sure if it is doing anything or not. At least my first machine had a hard disk! :-)
I think I am going to regret buying this thing! I will give you an update if and when the engineer calls me.0 -
Thanks Searcher2, helpline constantly engaged, will wait for your post backI haven't got one!0

Same sound on ITV issue with me, though it seems to come and go. Not noticed if it's the way I'm changing channel as people have noticed. A couple of lip synching issues too.0

Searcher2 wrote:The sound problem is certainly not a signal strength problem as I pointed out - going to ITV1 using the > key from BBC1 to BBC2 to ITV1 resulted in no sound on ITV1 - but going directly to ITV1 using the '3' button gave me ITV1 with sound
I've tried several times, but I cannot reproduce this. The sound still works on 3. However I'm using the ^ button to change channle as the > button does not change channel.
Local store had about 30. Not all were put on display at once. About 5 left at 10:15.
Weather stations and MP3 players also seemed to be popular.
Unit looks terrible until you peel the protective strip off the front, then it looks OK.
Any questions, I'll check back.0 -
You know, I was sorely tempted to queue at Aldi today (against my partner's wishes - well, I can't accually afford it). But having now read these posts, quite glad I didn't!
I did however queue on Monday at Lidl there they had 4 DVD recorders. Haven't had any problems with that ....so far!!Biggest debt, £48,000.
Lightbulb moment - Feb 08.
Current debt June 09 = £17,000, I have sold property to reduce that by so much. Now paying monthly.
Plan to be debt-free May 2012.:D0 -

Tsk - you should know, as a MoneySaver, that you can get them for less than that! :snow_grinTime is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Yes t can only record one channel at a timeI haven't got one!0

If you can't start watching a programme from the start whilst you're still recording it, as some have suggested, what is the "timeshift" option that the blurb referred to?0
