is it defintely not Electron, as if not it is another bank issuing 2-in-1 Visa Debit cards. Might be they plan on dropping the Electron card.
    No, its not Electron
  • Lloyds TSB Premier £250.

Only ever use cheques for school lunches/trips, never used the guarantee card for several years.

am self employed, 50% of my customers (all business) pay by cheque, I don't know why as it is cheaper to use BACS. Sometimes a cheque is the easiest, today I have applied for a provisional driving licence for my daughter, cheque was the way to go. Could have applied online, but they would have used her passport piccy for the driving licence, but that was taken when she was 9, so she was not keen!

£100 with RBS however never use cheques these days
  • I'd read that LTSB no longer issue Cheque Guarantee Cards!
  • I couldn't get one, but then I upgraded to HSBC Plus and for some reason the Plus debit card that came through had a £100 limit on it. So it appears they may not care if you wing £13 a month their way.

Never had that with anyone else, btw. Asked Alliance and Leicester for one, they said they'd send one through, said it had been sent out and then sent me a letter saying I'd been declined for one. Eejits.

sutton111- they are useless. Im still having grief with them about the card on my account (its not a Visa Electron, according to them, but yet it can only be used where online auth is possible - er, doesnt this make it an Electron???)

You could always call them up and enquire as to what the criteria are, and if you meet them inquire as to whether you could obtain one. They might help you, they might not, but it's worth a punt...
