  • Smartass, during your life as a Customer Gathering Associate. I would go into more detail here but I think it would be inappropriate.

Lisyloo, thank you for your comments.

So 'life' only comes into it if your "Customer Gathering Associates" drop dead whilst still working for T+.

Just another unsustainable claim! (And surely would not be allowed under normal advertising standard rules - just like the other famous one about supplying the cheapest gas/electricity)
  • Hello Smartasss, I'm not with you. I don't understand the point you are trying to make. If a T+ Customer Gathering Associate drops dead he will only need an undertaker.
He won't be able to make phone calls from beyond the pearly gates and I imagine the Almighty will include heat and light as part of His package.
There is provision in the application for two people to apply on the same form so if a husband and wife were jointly CGAs and one died the survivor would still get the benefits. Pensions notwithstanding I don't think its usual practice to pay someone when they are dead. I would be happy to send you more information, it means I won't post on this site as much as I do.

Thank you for your post and the opportunity it has offered me.

Alared, I really think you have a bit of a cheek, you started this thread in January, surely we are entited to reply.

Yes I did start this thread for exactly the reason the title of the thread says to expose TP for their lack of clarity, transparancy and for not telling the whole truth.
I was sick to death of all the touting and the false claims about being the cheapest provider in the UK(which there`re not)
You`re in it for the cut you get from each customer you sign up and very vague about all the HIDDEN costs, membership fees, standing charge`s in advance, etc.
You rely on people not reading your mountain of T&C`s which would baffle a Philidelphia lawyer.
You and your cronies have had a good run on the boards touting for business,(advertising really)
Now is the time to call a halt and make ALL future comments on the referrer`s board where it should have been in the first place.
  • Alared, if you start a thread it's not unreasonable to expect a reply. If you want this discussion on the referrers board then that's where you should start it.

I think Martin is the person who decides what is allowed on this site.

Once again thank you for your post etc.

T+ advertise " Free gas and electricity for life "

The T+ answer to what does "life" mean was  that the utilities would be free "during your life as a Customer Gathering Associate".

When pointed out that this is just more false advertising (i.e. it's NOT free gas/electricity for life at all), the T+ answer is "I'm not with you. I don't understand the point you are trying to make."

The point being repeatedly made is take great care when at first you are attracted by outrageous (though eyecatching) advertising which seems to be allowed to continue outside of the normal restrictions on adverts being truthful.
  • Alared, responding to your posts is not advertising, the solution is in your own hands. Unless I am prevented from replying I shall continue to post replies where I believe it appropriate.
Smartasss, you ressurected issue of free utilities for life earlier today. The reply you received was not from T+ it was from an independent distributor (myself).
Surely if you don't pay for something then its free. How can it be a false claim - you get a required number of customers (typically 30) and the discount you receive means that your own bill is discounted 100%, surely that means it is free. If you critisize Telecom Plus (unfairly in my opinion) you must allow me to respond

Thank you both for your posts etc,

Alared - I think this is a decision for the moderators and not for you.

I don't think Lewis is advertising, he is answering your questions and declaring his interest (as the rules say he should).

You will complain if no-one answers your questions but also complain that they are advertising if they do.
You can't have it both ways.
  • Thanks Lisyloo. I was about to write the same thing myself.

If anybody criticises a business in any thread then the business concerned has the right of reply in that thread.

    Simple as that.
