Should Rebecca come clean about David's baguette?

I'd say she should tell him about the offer. Then if he wants to make the effort to use it, he can. If not, then he can pay full price for the goods, to the retailer (not her using the offer and taking his cash). Rebecca can get her own coupons and use that to buy her own lunch while she's there.0

It depends really, if she's picking up his lunch because he's too busy and she's just getting it while she gets her own, then she should give him the change.
If it's a favour he's asked of her in addition to her job description, the change could almost be considered a tip, and any saving she makes is fair game.0 -
Use the coupon and give him the change. His response will say a great deal about what kind of boss he is.0

If your boss is too 'busy' to get his own lunch, let him pay for the privilege. Frankly, if his time management is so bad he can't manage his own lunch, he probably isn't all that good at his job. All he has to do to save money is get off his backside. If he's the owner of the firm, fair enough I suppose - it's his call. If he's not, he's just another employee and his subordinates' time belongs to the company, not to him.
I was a boss for 30-odd years - in a busy department. But - other than in a genuine emergency (in which I rarely even needed to ask for such things) - I got my own coffee and lunch. I had staff not servants - and people appreciate the difference and respect. You even get to meet your staff by the coffee machine - not to be under-rated. The whole coffee break/lunch break power hierarchy wastes more corporate time than enough in my experience, and I never stood for it.0 -
Good boss - I'd advise him of the deal and return his change. Honesty looks good for future promotions.
Bad boss - I'd buy his usual at the usual price but then buy another using the deal for myself, with my own pound.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0 -
that's the thing you haven't taken into account. It is probably one voucher per customer and and there is probably a biq queue! so if she has to get him the offer then either she is missing out herself or queueing up twice! plus she has to buy the paper and spend time getting that .0

Why bother tell him? Rebecca will be the only the only person who knows she is stealing, and she only has to live with herself, and look at herself everyday in the mirror, seeing a dishonest person looking back.0
-
As others have said, of course she should give him the change. Tell him about the offer and he might even tell her to keep the change anyway. Otherwise it is stealing. Very sad that there are so many dishonest people about.0

Keeping the money would be stealing. On the other hand, if my boss told me to get his lunch every day I would tell him to get stuffed.0
