  • Contacted by 3 today. Someon from their exec officed called to let me know that a case worker would be assigned to me tomorrow and that they should be in touch shortly.

She also said that I dont have the right to cancel my contract in this instance as 3 have always reserved the right to charge for itemised billing. Apparently its in their terms and conditions. I pointed out that when I joined 3 in Phones4U I was only given a summary of the terms and conditions which covered "some key points which we think will be important to you". None of these key points is the introduction of a £1 charge for itemised billing which surely is something that anyone would consider important. It goes on to say "for the latest version of our terms, please see www.three." (yes the url does end there) so I visited www.three. and was given a page loading error as the url does not exist.

The points then go on to refer me to a price plan which I was not given a point of sale and nor am I directed to in any way. Handily Phones4u have stapled everything they gave me into a little Phones4u pamphlet so its easy to see what they have given me and I clearly have not removed anything. The sales assistant also used free itemised billing in her summary of what I would be getting from 3. Luckily for me I was with a friend so I do have a witness to this.

Gonna have to go take all my paperwork to Trading Standards I think.

Is anyone going to test this in court?

Otelo said they will take my case after 12 weeks of initial contact to cancel with 3, that is next week.....they refused deadlock with me.
I still use the phone but hopefully i can get out of this contract.
There is no way they are getting away with changing both under a minute calls...i'm only on 60mins per month. and the itemised billing.

They are so dodgy it's a joke!
