You don't think the fee is good enough then don't take the job, it's that simple. Yes it will likely mean the companies start to reduce fees across the board but thats what it's all about at the end of the day. Getting the job done for the cheapest cost.

If I could even find a 1/4 of the jobs that people talk about on here I'd be grateful. I haven't even seen the pubs jobs advertised despite my search being almost 70 mile or so radius (20 miles around Ayr to 20 miles around Glasgow).
Since I started this MS lark back at the begining of September, I've only had 30 jobs. Despite sigining up to nealry 20 different companies and checking at least twice a day for each one.
So if I was given the option of doing some very easy jobs for a little fee, then I probably would.
Like you , I have not seen any at all so they are probably only in certain regions as I am in the centre of England. I've nothing at all at the moment, so quite bored, Did some specs and shoes this week which was quite interesting.

Oh! it looks like I was sooo wrong and I have changed my mind. My apologies to everyone who have been offended. It is a great fee and we should not be greedy and even if we just get a thank you or a smile, it should be sufficient to make up for going out in this horrible weather.

Mystery shoppers we are not, we are good Samaritans and are here to increase the profitability of businesses that includes the MS companies.

and if you don't like the fee don't accept the job. I personnaly will not but I have a choice.

Dont be put off sophisticated, just have a good read of the notes beforehand and nip to the loo if you need to re-read them :) good luck

Thanks :) I was quite stressed in the pub as there had been a rugby match on in town
so it was packed! But I filled in the questionnaire fine when I got home, phew!

I do have a question, the spend limit for the job was £5 to buy two drinks, but it only came to around £2ish so I entered that on the expenses. Could I have bought other drinks to make it up to the £5?

Yes - you can usually claim for more drinks if you spend more, just claim upto your limit. hth.

Oh Leila.....come on now, sarcasm is the lowest form of wit...!:p

Nobody is saying that you should change your mind - if you think that it's not worth the money, then that's fine - but don't berate others for taking on the jobs if they think it's worth it.
Life is all about personal choice - and if we all thought the same, what a very dull world this would be...
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

I also dont go Gap anymore, the burger ones are just the worst, as soon as you ask for a receipt, practically every member of staff starts cleaning around you!! I can't eat my chips in peace!!

What did it for me is: I upload receipts by taking a photo and uploading. 2 were ALLEGEDLY not clear although they were fine or I would not have submitted them. G1mpbuster just refused to pay and would not even let me resumit the receipt, fax or mail it in.

Holly, as for RE, yes it can be annoying with silly repetitive questions but the reason they do that is because some people just click any old answer to get through the assignment when they've not done it properly at the visit stage. So it's literally a case of confirming you have clicked the right answer, so it would be enough to say, "The pub was fairly busy, about 20% full." I also agree that their fees are not that high but I do only do the pub jobs, for example, for a free meal and drinks. I'd never spend that sort of money on a meal out for myself as I cannot afford to. And if I was going out anyway, the £5 fee negates my bus fares so it saves me a little bit on my planned excursion.

Is it? :D I was not being sarcastic but just trying my hands at a bit of reverse psychology, You see when you tell some people that chocolate is bad for them that makes them crave it more. If you bring a lot of chocolate out and offer it freely people would get a sick at the thought of it.

Anyway, I truly believe that we get in this life what we believe we deserve so if anyone thinks that all they deserve is £2.50 than who am I to argue it?

I am sorry, I am usually a nice and diplomatic person but since I have been attacked left right and centre for stating the truth well I am up for a cat fight!

I don't propose to get into a cat fight Leila - that would defeat the object really.

I just think that some people have less choice than others - I don't know what your financial situation is (nor is it any of my business) but, as I said in my previous post - it is about personal choice.

If people are hard up for money, then no end of people saying "that job doesn't pay enough" will make any difference....£2.50 for 10 mins work is £2.50 towards a gas/leccy/council tax bill...

Shall we all call a truce now?? Let everyone do what they want....

RE is not working for me !
Did not realise those cheap RE pub jobs would cause so much debate.
Thought we weren't suppose to reveal fee's.
Guess its up to each person to decide if its worth doing, for me its a BIG NO !

Its nearly 11......silence on the board please !

    Yes, I agree!
I am not going to fight I was just having a laugh. Something I have learnt and wanted to share (and the wise ones learn from other people's mistakes) is that: It is necessary to take a step back sometimes to be able to go forward, and while many times I have been out there slaving for very little I have missed the opportunity to take part in much worthier work. There have also been several occasions where I have filled my day with small jobs and had to decline bigger ones because of time.
This is MS wise, but this also relates to life in general. I don't want my words to be misinterpreted but just taken as they are. No more than friendly advice and Yes, everyone is free to take what suits them (as long as it is not causing them to struggle). I am doing it again aren't I? :D
It is only because I care.:A
