Done it. I'll let you know what TNS say...

Should we be discussing the answers to the TNS application test on here?

It's a job application test, designed to see if you can read and understand the e-book they send you. If you copy the answers from someone else, it's not really a true reflection of your skills. Hope I don't offend anyone, but I don't think it's right to discuss the test on here.

I totally agree. I didn't pass the test first time, and had to wait a few months before re-applying when, fortunately, I passed.

The jobs on TNS are few and far between as it is, and I don't think it's fair on those of us who passed the accredation tests under our own merit for people to spoon-feed the answers to people who can't be bothered, or don't have the intelligence, to work them out for themselves.

I'm sure if TNS knew that this was being done they would not be happy.

I agree too. The answers I gave were actually not the same as some given on here (but were equally valid obviously). Let's face it, the more people we give answers to on this forum, the less work there is for all of us.

    Please help!
I started Mystery Shopping in Sep 08 - I believe I am to receive my first tax return in April but can delay it until Jan 2010 if I do it online? So does that mean I do it online first or just complete the tax return online? When will I be looking at paying my first lot of tax, I have been trying to save and prepare for this but due to unfortunate circumstances with work I have had trouble keeping that money to one side! I only earn 40-60 a month at the moment Mystery Shopping anyway so will I even be paying much in tax? I'm currently temping on a wage that works out between 13.5-14k a year.

I am having a little panic so just need some reassurance! Thanks

Have to say I agree, it was quite heavy going but I completed it myself and passed it and feel good for doing that.

Remember there is nothing to stop someone from TNS looking on here it is a public forum, and i don't know how happy they'd be about people copying each others applications.

You can do it online by Jan 2010. Don't know what you mean by doing it online first, but if you do it online then AFAIK there is no physical paperwork to do. Tax owed on your income is also due by end of Jan 2010....probably not more than a couple of hundered based on what you're earning MSing. HTH

dunno nads, but it's a nightmare. Some of the Q&A's are not covered in their MS Guide.

Yes, I could answer the questions (so I'm not of low intelligence, thank you very much TractorGirl!) but how do I know that these are the answers that TNS want? They seem to be very specific in some of their policies and practices.

An answer that is "correct" to me, may not (and indeed WERE NOT) "correct" in TNS' eyes.

So wind your necks in, and stop whinging. I thought we were all helping each other here? Next time someone asks a question about car jobs should I tell them I'm not helping them, because if they mess up the assignment, it may mean one more job that I'd be able to do? No, it doesn't, I'm not that petty.

thanks, what I meant was completing it online before I receive it in the post but I suppose I'd have to recieve it in the post first before I do it online. I pay tax normally on my income now, I'm just looking at MSing tax - so this will be due by end of Jan? I've got time yet then?! I'm sorry I have a panic and worry far too easily!

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all those who offered help and advice about the Gap job. I think I am sorted now. I emailed Gap and they have very kindly sent me the notes in pdf so I can read them! And also they say for my particular scenario the idea is that I present the document with no supporting proof of ID. So that suggests I don't need to take my passport! Phew!
