Thanks. I signed up to GR a couple of days ago and have had absolutely nothing; also signed to RE and have had one job, briefly, that popped in adn while I was reading the briefing it went. Is it usual for them to take a long time to find anything suitable when you're a newbie?

It took months for me to be offered a job with GR. As for RE, have you got all the settings set properly - e.g. what radius around your home postcode have you set? If your radius only covers a suburb of a city, you may well get very little. Make sure your areas cover the nearest town/city centre, and any other cities/towns you're willing to visit. Also, check you have all the categories turned on.

There is not much on RE at the moment anyway, I have 50 miles around Birmingham, Milton Keynes, London, Bristol, Chichester and Edinburgh defined on my account, and only have six jobs showing.

Also bear in mind RE, like most companies, will often put up all the jobs for a particular client at once. When they do this, you need to move fast to bag a job in your area. Sign up to the alerts thread on this forum to get emailed whenever somebody spots new jobs.

Also try GAPbuster - I know a lot of people on this forum are critical of them for their low fees and their tendency to sack people for no reason, but they do usually have lots of jobs, and their reports are relatively straightforward.

Yes - maybe I should widen them. I have my home and work addresses but only a 1-mile radius around them, as I need to get there and back in a lunch hour....

I applied for TNS last week and completed the questionnaire but have not heard about whether I have been successful or not - I am assuming these means I didnt get through?
The questionnaire was tough in places and having read through the recent posts I know I did not put the right answer to the question about completing questionnaires on location -I guess I should have checked here first but also think thats just cheating..... essentially I am applying for a job. Any feedback on whether I'll hear if Ive been rejected would be appreciated.

That's not necessarily a reason to think you haven't passed. I recall they took ages to let me know (well, it felt like ages, but probably wasn't really). And I didn't give them that answer about a hotel - I never mentioned hotels at all. I gave the answer that I *thought* was right, and I got accepted.

Same here I gave the answer that seemed to make sense and they accepted it because it wasn't wrong but wasn't as specific as mentioning hotel.

Hi I have a question about Ab-i. Whenever I go onto the website it says click on logo below to see current opprotunities but it is always just the one department store listed.

Should I have done something else to see any other opportunities ?

Hi, you have to call and ask for others to be added, i had to do this twice as the first time they only added two, and i heard through the forum that they do more......maybe i will call again to make sure i have all of them listed :rotfl:

If you call them they should be able to add some more clients for you. I just did this today and now I have three more. The contact number is on the website.

How many do they have? I can see a cheap department store, catalogue, petrol, discount designer store. Has anyone else got something different?
