I did a chicken burger job today and was rumbled! The girl who served me ran around the back and loudly announced that "we've got our Gap, she's over there, with the baby, she asked a question AND got a reciept!". She then came flying back out to see if I would like a highchair, foot rub, etc. Shame I had to rush off afterwards, the service was out of this world!
are you allowed to take babies to chicken jobs?

my husband is self employed and always needs reciepts from these kind of places so i don't think it is too much of a giveaway.

Did anyone get an email from TNS this afternoon saying they are going to make everyone get receipts for the pub drinks visits? I'm afraid I'll be ruling myself out of these in that case - might as well have the "I'm the Mystery Shopper" badge on, the kind of pubs I've done for them

Just pretend that you're staying over on business somewhere nearby and that you need a recipt for your expenses claim.

Then if they ask what you do for a living, tell them that you're not allowed to say...if you told them you'd have to kill them etc ;-)

    Hi,

I'm about to start my MS adventure tomorrow for GAP (hopefully), I did the training assignments and then the test for the particular chain, (hoping the job I wanted would still be there when I was done, which it was!). So I then selected the date for the job and then clicked add to basket, at which point the job disappeared. It isn't in my 'my assignments' Does this mean someone nipped in before me or do GAP add the job manually? (its about 2 hours ago now). If its my job I want to print off the details ASAP (kinda nervous!!!).

    Any help would be appreciated.

I think you can, I didn't see anything in the notes to suggest otherwise, I'll soon find out though if not!

I reckon they were expecting the MS so were told to watch out for the usual order.
  • I'd love to know how the staff know in advance that they are getting MS'd on a particular day and how they know what the MSer is going to order etc. It makes a mockery of the whole thing... I assume they get leaked this info from management. But I still don't understand why the companies would pay out for someone to MS the place if they then leak the info on what to expect to the staff... which then distorts the MS report. Or am I missing something?

To be honest, it's all starting to look like a game.

Once you have added it to your basket, you have to go to view basket, tick that you agree to the terms and then submit, after that you should get e-mail confirmation and it should appear in your assignments.

To be honest, it's all starting to look like a game.

It can seem like that, I agree - I did a shop the other day and the guy (who has served me on a number of occasions when I've not been shopping) was all of a sudden, absolutely spot on.

My wife works as a manager at a major supermarket and I know that when she gets shopped, she has no idea when it'll be (although they assume it'll be 'this' week or 'that' week) and despite being able to CCTV-check based on the receipt details, they never do. So that's one company who doesn't check back, which makes me feel a little more at ease!
  • With regards to the Travel shops that were mentioned and which name to use etc, I work for that agency and we got shopped on Saturday, I thought I clocked her as she entered then I changed my mind but it turns it she was the MS as we had a call from the other shop in our town and if we had searched the network (which I think we are supposed to do now) it came up that she had done the same enquiry in 6 other shops locally!!! So I would use a different name if I were you ;) but if you leave your number be prepared to get calls as to why you didn't book etc

ETA: We have no idea when the shops will done - only that they happen once a month and we get the result a few days after the shop! We also never check our CCTV etc but we do try and work out who it was if we don't click at the time!
