I've tried out the iPhone many times and it really is one of those "it just works" devices. The problem I have with it being a tech geek is that Apple only give you want they want to give you and not want people demand. For example you can't open more than one applicationa at a time, there's no real bluetooth and with such a powerful device you can't cut and past from messages.

Perhaps I will buy the next version or perhaps you should wiat until the Google G2 arrives.

The good thing about doing the phone jobs is it gives you chance to check out the latest phones. Im tempted with the Samsung Pixon has anyone used this phone for internet. The Blackberry has a good feature where the emails come straight through to the phone instantly. I'm not sure what to get that will help with the MS work.0

I guess you've not had the joy of owning an iphone then?
I won't discuss it as I know I haven't tried anything else and am a little biased probably (I'm not generally an Apple fan btw) but I would urge anyone to consider going into an O2 shop to try a working display iphone before they make up their mind.
Nope, never head the "pleasure" of owning an iPhone, never even used one. I just believe, from looking at the spec, and at the price, that they're not worth the money.0 -
I have the t-mobile G1 which I got so I could check my emails on the move for MS really. (before that I had been trialing a phone for lightspeed - a motorola Q9 but I had to give it back sob! I liked how emails just appeared when they came through and so thats what I was looking for).
On my G1 I get my emails through no problems and dont have to log on to get them - it just beeps to say I have an email. So I get my subscription alerts to the alerts thread which is great.
I've been able to quickly reply to companies that email you jobs which is fantastic.
I have accepted jobs from TNS and GFK doing it. grass roots seems simple enough too. gap is more fiddly to do, and I've only browsed them. with RE I cant seem to open the brief but can broswe the jobs.
the phone itself has a big screen so you can see your email/site properly and it has a qwerty keyboard that slides out as well as touch screen. its linked to google and you set up a googlemail account on it too. (but normal pop and imap email can be set up to download every few minutes if you want) and it has google calendar which is good for me as I can check availability and then it appears on my computer as well as my phone when I put an entry in.
you can put lots of applications on the phone like games and sounds and things like a flash light and a spirit level....!
if anyone wants any more info let me know. I'll shut up about it now0 -

Hiya,
I'm doing my first job with TNS tonight (a meal). At the start of the briefing notes it says that you can take others with you but they will only reimburse £23 towards the meal.
At the bottom of the briefing notes it says that if you take others with you or spend over the limit, they won't reimburse for the other person/people.
I'm a little confused as when I accepted the job it said they would pay £23 towards the meal and didn't say anything about only paying for me.
Has anyone got any experience of this as I don't know what to claim for?
Cheers!0 -

They were not for actual flights:rolleyes:
It was a way to register your interest in the jobs.
(I wonder how may 1000's they got  )
I would assume they will start to allocate jobs (probably fairly soon IMHO )to be completed in April onwards as some of usare doing the "test" jobs in March.

When I've done this one before I've always taken OH, and submitted the receipt with both our drinks, main courses and then we usually get 1 starter and 1 main and share them - always comes to slightly over the spend limit and I've always had the full spend limit back so I'm sure you will be fine - I've noticed it contradicts itself too.Initial Mortgage January 2024 - £160,000

if they only want you to buy a certain product at least the reimbursement will cover it now. remember mystery shopping is for the companies to get feedback on how their staff/services are doing, not primarily for us to get a load of free stuff (although that is a very nice perk!!)
When I complained I was told that "going forward" the reimbursement would be increased.
Glad to see they have done that. :T0
