I assume they get leaked this info from management. But I still don't understand why the companies would pay out for someone to MS the place if they then leak the info on what to expect to the staff... which then distorts the MS report. Or am I missing something?
To be honest, it's all starting to look like a game.
these fast food places have the same procedure every time so you don't have to work there long to work out what is going on.0 -
They must kind of know, just like we as shoppers think , Oh Fast Pizza jobs must be coming up soon, they know that they haven't been MS this month and it's getting near month end, they must have been on red alert. The brief doesn't change too much from month to month so word must get out.
I agree it does make it a bit of a game but it's the receipt really that is the give away which is out of the shoppers control.0 -

National Express coaches are doing a £1 fare promotion at the moment but don't know how long your journey would take.0 -
Did anyone get an email from TNS this afternoon saying they are going to make everyone get receipts for the pub drinks visits? I'm afraid I'll be ruling myself out of these in that case - might as well have the "I'm the Mystery Shopper" badge on, the kind of pubs I've done for them
Oh, how things change! I had a pub job with this chain in January - the brief specifically said that, if I did not receive a receipt, not to ask for one, as this would give the game away.
I used to work for one of the big supermarkets, and we would often be warned on the day that a mystery shopper was due in. The receipt thing isn't exactly a dead giveaway in those circumstances, at least£10 a day: March - August: £1653.54/£1840; September £92.86/£300NSD: April - August: 49 NSDs; September: 9/12101 in 1001 Project: 05/07/09 - 01/04/12 (8/101 completed)0 -
I did a chicken burger job today and was rumbled! The girl who served me ran around the back and loudly announced that "we've got our Gap, she's over there, with the baby, she asked a question AND got a reciept!". She then came flying back out to see if I would like a highchair, foot rub, etc. Shame I had to rush off afterwards, the service was out of this world!
are kids allowed on the job ?
i know with golden arches and other jobs from gap they aren't, hope you being rumbled hasnt got you the sack from gap...0 -
When I use to do a burger or chicken job and needed a receipt I came across all dumb and bimbo like and said "I'm on a training course and they told me if I give them a receipt they will pay me for my lunch. Can you do a kind of receipt for me please so I can get my money back?".
They never clocked me when I used this approach, however I then miss out on the floorshow, manicure, massage, table service and throne so have given it up and make myself obvious. :rotfl:0 -
I did a chicken with my baby the other day but it was for take-out and I could not find anywhere on the assignment notes that I couldn't take anyone with me.0
