Thanks Hollypear, just need to sort the printer/scanner and then join some sites. What would be a nice easy job to start with?
Welcome! I know Gap don't pay particularly well, but they do have the easiest questionnaires to complete - generally tick boxes, so I'd say start with them and then you once you've got a bit of experience you can pick and choose and move on to better paid ones, or ones that suit you better.0 -

I would start with Gap too - though I know my mate HP wouldn't agree, but I've done over 80 jobs for them since last April & never had a problem. I love Grassroots, though you have to be quick!
Josie - I will email you over the weekend! Been busy catching up with stuff as my voice went again (still weird so can't talk for long) and I had to re-arrange jobs so I'm behind with everything!0 -

Yes - very nice company to work for and the ladies in the office are lovely. They pay mileage and parking costs too, and they are reliable at paying you.
They require loads of detail though. Half the questionnaire is yes/no type questions, but you have to justify any negative responses. The second half is a full written narrative detailing everything you saw in the store, and the dialogue of all the conversations you have with staff members. At least it's on PC now. When I first started with them, it all had to be handwritten and it took ages! Here I go again on my own....0 -

mysterious_girl wrote: »No I mean the email that GAP sent me. The time on it was 16:01 and it listed all the available bookies jobs in my area and their job numbers. By the time I went on the website at 16:12 they were gone! I checked by entering the job numbers and they came back with a message saying that another shopper had taken the assignment.
I got an email timed at 16:33 but it only listed 2 of the jobs. I had already logged on to Gap before I got the email (because I'd seen it on the alerts thread), and one of the jobs in the email was not listed on the site, so that must have gone already.
They do sometimes send emails out, but in my (admittedly limited) experience, they tend to be sent out some time after the jobs have been released anyway.0 -
Hello all
I haven't posted on here for nearly a couple of months now, but simply had to break the habit to give Blindman a public accolade for his generous attitude to sharing informative and relevant info about mystery shopping.
It's lovely when people are so honest and sound.

I got an email from gap at 15:37, but only noticed it at 16:00, so posted it on the Alerts thread straight away - I know a lot of you have been waiting for these!
There were a couple very local to me but I've just never fancied doing them, although I did almost marry a bookie once.........................!0 -

Yes, I agree, in the past, they've usually been about burgers that have been hanging around for a while, but more recently they have been as new jobs have gone on. 3/4 in my area had gone, but my email was timed at 16.54 and I didn't log on till 18.00. There were 1046 jobs listed when I went on, so goodness knows how many there were to start with - perhaps they're doing the whole lot!0
