    Evening everyone.:hello:

Im so pleased my shift is over and Im home.

Its sunk in about me being a GGM Will tell mum tomorrow.

Off to bed shortly as I want to be up early to catch up on my flying.

A friend is coming to stay on Saturday so need to get cracking.

Going to do my meeting and greeting tomorrow. They also want volunteers to give the elderly patients their meals. Talked to DD about this as it would be perfect for her and a foot in the door. She is very good with elderly people and it would do her confidence the world of good. Spooky thing is she has been to see a medium tonight and got a message saying they could see ots of dinners around her :rotfl:

Hi and welcome to all the newbies.

Soappie The reason I love doing the meeting and greeting apart from the pleasure I get from it is there is no paperwork, stress long hours etc. It is the total opposite of myfull time job. Lots of paperwork, stress, managing and giving medication, having to make responsible decisions re clients and dealing with aggression self harm and other chalenging behaviour. My previous vol job was a counsellor for a lot of years. But lots of meetings and paperwork.

  • Evening everyone.

Haven't fully caught up with the thread as i have had a busy couple of days, but i gather i need to wish toots a happy birthday.

I don't know where the past two days have gone.

Tue - DS1 at nursery, i went to my parents and borrowed a dress from my mum for the wedding on friday (after trying on lots), then did the post office to send an ebay parcel paid for a month late (nice lady who had a baby and forgot she had bid) did an ASDA shop buying more christmas pressies and stuff for DS1's party, went to visit my friend who has just started maternity leave, then came home and put fridge stuff away before getting DS1 from nursery. I arrived home at 6 with the kids, got them in bed, then made up the party bags and wrapped all the xmas pressies i had bought. Thought i might as well. Also filled in the forms nursery had given me so they are done for next week.

Today: I spent the morning cleaning for the health visitor coming for DS2's 2yo check up. She seemed to think he is quite advanced because he can do lots of colours, and also count to 5. She also was fooled as she forgot she gave him a bookstart bag when she did DS2's newborn visit, so out comes the same book, and he was pointing out lots of things that are familiar to him, but she thought he was noticing on his 1st read. And i was naughty and let her think he was super talented. :D

Then i have been at a kiddies bowling party. We left there about 7:45pm. DS2 projectile vomited in the car on the way home, and has badly vomited again since we got home (all over DH as he took him off me as i was feeling rough as well) so the WM has just done the car seat and his covers, and is now on again with the clothes they were both wearing. Hopefully it is now out of his system, as we are travelling to london tomorrow night. Won't be going if the boy or boys are sick - i know how these things spread and i was feeling sicky before he even did the 1st lot.

So, that is why i am not uptodate with you all.

i think i am going to pretty much make up DS's bottles and then get into bed - all the early mornings are really getting to me i think.

I did notice the man rant. Mine has been very helpful this evening, but has only informed me tonight that he is working tomorrow now when he told me he had the whole day off, and i am going to have to sort out packing/ironing with both boys in the house too. Something is going to snap, likely my temper. I must be another one who needs no rest.

Hopefully i will get chance to catch up before i leave tomorrow, but if not, see you all sunday.

    Michelle, x
