Pigpen - i just wanted to say how much I luuurve you right now - I have overseas rellies coming this week - it's the sort of thing that normally makes me  Thanks to you and your [strike]nagging and threatening[/strike] - gentle reminders we are actually looking forward to this visit instead of scurrying round trying to hide our shame. it's not perfect but I haven't had to use my screamy voice at the girls at all this week

Glad to be of service.. long may the tidiness continue!

Powerpoint is pi$$ easy. Even I can use it.

The boys work for cake mostly... and not just my ones  I get pretty much everything I want from the security guards & finance on the same basis (which reminds me, I must do some baking tomorrow, bribes are due :D ). Don't think Triker's wine would help... 1drink.gif

Now.. chocolate orange marble cake can be arranged!! with chocolate chips in the chocolate bits... anything else they'll work for I'm sure I can arrange something... :D

    Inner Peace.

I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and we all could use more calm in our lives.
By following the simple advice on a Medical TV show, I have finally found inner peace.

A Doctor proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started.

So I looked around my house to see things I'd started and hadn't finished and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of shhhardonay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of vocka, a pockage of Prunglies , tha mainder of bot Prozic and Valum scriptins, the res of the Chesescke an a box a chocolets.
Yu haf no idr who fkin gud I fel.

Peas sen dis orn to dem yu fee AR in ned ov inr pece.

That's the funniest thing I've seen in ages, really tickled me that has.:T:rotfl:x

Absolutely... I don't know what to say, apart from that I agree with you 100% and I think it's very sad

I'll ask them how they feel about freelancing for cake :rotfl: You'll probably get a better response than I do to overtime  Anyway, recipe please, this one looks like a useful addition to my repetoire (chocolate ones generally seem to work best - I got £60k added to my budget on the basis of the last one :D )

Ooohhhhh.. lucky you.. I may come and look at it tomorrow.. you aren't busy are you good... lol

Did he 'give in' or did you not ask permission and just bought it anyway.. I doubt it was a freecycle??

I bought it and quite happily and loudly told him EXACTLY how much it cost. Nuh.

Well that's partially true, we played a game of 'was it £200'? 'lower'

    'was it £150'?

    'lower'

This as you can gather went on for some time.:rotfl:

Think he was relieved it wasn't £200.:D

OH also stuck his head and watched the electricity meter spin round veeeerrrrrrryy slooooowly with the Remoska and then whoosh like a whosshy thing when I put the fan oven on, so he's kind of convinced re the money saving aspect.

Yeah come round and I'll rustle something up for you.:D

    Morning all

    AnWsmum
    - love the t-shirt!
Toots - inner peace - love it!

Woke up this morning to find a note from DS on the bathroom door saying the shower's broken and it needs to be fixed asap. ~groan~ why the kids can't bath like I do is beyond me! Guess I'll have to source a plumber and talk sweetly to boss at work for another day off to get it fixed.

Goodness knows where I'll get a decent plumber from.

Right, better get dressed and hit the road - need to get in early today so I can leave early to pay the painter who should have the house completed today. Maybe he'll know of a decent plumber....

    Have a good day ladies

  • Morning all, just catching up...

A&W's Mum - Love the T-Shirt, I didn't know what it meant (or how to spell it ) either...:D

Dusty - How are DS's blisters this morning? It's awful having them as you have no chance to let them heal before you have to put shoes on again, hope they heal quickly and the shop sort it out for you...

I haven't heard of a school selling stuff back either - Ours used to go to the OAP's when I was at school and I know DS & DD had similar with their school - why would they want to send money? seems strange to me, you might as well just donate it in the first place... Isn't a Harvest festival a festival of the harvest and everyone gets a FREE share? sorry, just my opinion...
