    how old is your ds2?!
i am still not brave enough with dd - she' just turned 3 but still refuses to do nr. 2's anywhere else than in nappies.
if it was warmer i'd let her run around naked :D
    good luck!!!

I wouldn't worry about it. I thought potty training was a doddle because my DD1 took to it instantly at about 20 months. Then I had my DS . He was over 3 when he was potty trained, but wouldn't do no 2s in the potty for a while (even when he was in year 2 we had some "occasions"). With DD2 she was also over 3. I just waited until she was ready. I would ask her every couple of weeks or so if she wanted to start using the potty, but the answer was always "no". Then one day I asked and she said "yes" and that was it - nappy-free days (I kept her in nappies at night for a short while)

  • By the way, I forgot to answer your questions re the pipes. I would repaint them only we're applying to move house but I want to clean them as they're sat there tarnishing the rest of my clean bathroom  . They're metal and the dirt is a slimy stubborn brown concoction

Hi Emily, I would just paint them - then it's sealed in and done... You will feel so much better about it then and that's worth more than a bit of paint.. (well, IMO anyway...:D )

I know you're looking to move, but if you get a tin of paint, the small amount you use in there will mean you have some to take with you for anything like that in your new place... Just get something to seal it first before painting with gloss or the rust will bleed through the paint... (phone a decorator centre and ask their opinion first - they're really good and know loads...)

Now THAT is the 64 million dollar question! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Toots/Pigpen - That's why I don't get anything done either, if I'm not on here the TV is on, so I have to just quick switch it all off and turn radion up loud... only thing that works

Right, off to eat my chip butty now as H&A on (see, life revolves around programmes - really need Sky+...) and chips are cooked (just really fancied chips! :o )

Not a lot done here yet - been shopping, put it away, DW and TD on but I really need to get on with something. Anyone up for a HHC 2-2.30?

emily - you may be able to get sample pots for your pipes or try on freecycle for paint. Oven cleaner springs to mind otherwise?

Gryfon - ditto re renovations. We have run out of funds now, and the mortgage goes up £500 a month shortly so we are just going to have to live with it as it is for a bit. I am doing an interior design course (because it was free!) and I sit and admire pretty pictures of lovely houses and get very depressed some times. Ours is lovely from the outside, but is mostly a wreck on the inside even when it is tidy.
