We now have a new shower. I don't understand the fuss but the kids are delighted. DiL's Pa, when refusing money for the time he spent said 'my house is your house'.

I thought blimey - that has a sicilian ring about it - but I'm only joking... I'm truly grateful but don't like to feel I'm beholden or, in fact, feel I might be considered taking advantage (which I'm not.... but I feel...) - does that make sense?

Oh bleurgh !!! --- I ought to stop feeling I guess!

Off to contemplate my navel and life the universe and everything.

AnW'sMum, like the others said this is dreadful. There was a problem at our school in the juniors with some horrid 'smearing' going on. They made the Year 6 children monitor the toilets at break times to stamp it out - again not suitable if you ask me but as I didn't have a junior at the time I left it for the many vocal parents in that part of the school to sort out.

An'Ws Mum, I think that is pretty awful to deprive children of toliet roll. I can't see what useful lesson it's going to teach, and it could have some unpleasant health consequences.

Soappie you feel exactly how I would but your DiL's family are probably so greatful that you are happy to have your DS and his wife living with you that they are only too pleased to be able to help out.

Soappie - i'm guessing you're like me and feel uncomfortable taking something from someone. Mind you, reverse it, if you could help him out would you? Would you want paying for it? I'm guessing the answer is no. Do something nice for him.....a bottle of his favourite tipple....a dinner party to say thankyou....then, if you're anything like me you'll feel a bit better about it. Have a fab holiday!

Toochoosey - you're not bored by any chance are you!! xx
