Givvzt I could cry with you Hun - it always brings it home for me when I hear about other people getting pregnant. I have developed a 'smile nicely, ask when it is due, then change the subject' policy, then I can usually hold up for about half an hour before I have to run away and cry. Life is just so NOT FAIR.

I had the most odd dream last night (been having lots of strange ones - but this was def. the strangest). Suddenly we had a child, a boy of about 3. We went to collect him from a kind of day-centre, and even though I didn't recognise him he called us mum & dad, and I was being told that he was our biological son (they said that my first treatment had worked after all - even though I had no memory of being pregnant etc! and now it was time to take him home!), oh and he was disabled, they kept telling me that, but not in what way. How weird!
I've often had dreams of having babies, but this was a new one on me...just shows my confused state of mind I guess!

    12 days to go....

I am sure all these consultants etc all sing off different songsheets. ~~snip~~After my surgery, I am not supposed to get pregnant for 6 months, for healing and so that I can have MRI/smear etc for checking. I went for a check up on Tuesday, and the Doctor seemed quite confused that I had been told that, and didnt seem to know that that was the recommendation. !!!!!!? Glad she wasnt curing me!!!

I agree with you about consultants not all doing/saying the same thing. When I read your other post saying about not getting pg because you have to have another smear and a MRI at 6 months I thought 'that's different to me'
I was told not to get pg for 6 months for healing but I had my first smear after 3 months but haven't had another MRI.

Also when I had my colposcopy at the very start of all this I was told not to have sex for 2 weeks because of the risk of infection. Women I have since been in contact with, some were told the same, some weren't

It seems that all consultants have their own mind about what is 'best'. My consultant's secretary is back from holiday next week, so maybe I will find out sometime soon when are they planning on doing laparoscopy.

I think we will just keep ttc, and if it happens, it happens... Unless, my laparoscopy date is just after I am back from holiday, but before next AF is supposedly due. Although, what are my chances of getting pg in the next cycle? I feel close to 0%.

I still haven't received a 'claim advice' from Bupa about my first appointmetn with consultant at the private hospital, but have got the ones for hycosy, so I am also getting worried that the hopsital/Bupa messed up something and that will cause delay in arranging laparoscopy. Just my luck!!!!

    We're quiet here today!
Well I'm happy to report that my second cycle of clomid is going much much better than the first. I'm on day 3 and the psycho hasn't reared her ugly head yet. I was in floods of tears and tempers this time last month. So I hope that the PMT won't be so bad either. Thanks for the encouragement to keep on it... :D

Hey Toniq fingers crossed or you hun its awful when it seems so easy for everyone else to fall pg so easily. I seem to have put my life on hold since last October when we found out we were getting IVF, I so want my BFP so we can start to move on. I hate having to be vague and tell people i might not be able to do something or go somewhere a) because you dont know when you'll be getting treatment or how you will react or b) if I then get PG if will actually will be able to do certain things. For me I run an Army cadet unit and some of the things we get up to can be pretty strenuos and vigorous and I don't want to take the risks. So am left doing the more lame stuff atm just in case (not that it isn't all worth it for a BFP).

Well so far OH is doing most of symtom spotting for me, he recently noticed I have Montgomerys Tubercles lol. I'm sure I had them before but he says not, apparently he looks at my bb's alot so he should know, his words lol. Bloating has gone down a little but not altogether have had the odd headache and some backache too. Still cramping but has moved out of my overies and isnt so severe now, no sign of AF yet either, so all in all looking good for Thursday :D

Hi all, got a question you can help me with (I hope). OH drove my car yesterday and has decided that we need to get me a new one (yeay). Mine is the smaller of our 2 cars - he has a large mazda that will take care of all our stuffed car journeys. I'm going to need a regular size runaround that will be good for when we do (finally) have a baby. But I don't know what on earth you need in a family car! I'm assuming you need headroom in the back seat to lean in, and decent boot space, but other than that I'm stumped.

Any chance we can have a brief divert to help me with this? All suggestions appreciated.... ;)

Well, I informed my OH, that next year I am changing car. I have Yaris, and I want to get Honda Jazz. Our second car is Jazz now, but we will be changing that one eventually as well. I find it really spacious, economical, and I wouldn't like to drive a bigger car!

In my opinion, you need to decide how you fit the car seat (Isofix or seat belt?), if the pram will fit in the boot and some extra shopping (of course!!!!)

And for me - something easy to park. I don't need a 4x4 to drive around, do I?

We have had a Focus in the past. That was a nice comfortable car to drive and had lots of boot space.
We changed it for a Vectra and that's a really nice car to drive. Maybe because it's newer it feels better than the Focus, I don't know but I like driving it. Massive boot space!
We have a sports car too, 2 seater so no good for ferrying family in but that will go once we have a family. The sports car is our fun weekend car whilst there is just the 2 of us :D
I also really like the look of the new shape Fiesta. Not driven one but they look nice.

My only real personal must have in a family car is 4 doors. I don't like to see children in 2 door cars because my biggest worry is having an accident and someone not being able to get to my children quickly.
