    Hi guys!

Just thought I'd pop in and say hello. 9 days till my due date according to docs. I have tried absolutely every single old wives' tale to get my little one out, but nothing is doing it. I was having twinges over the weekend, but they seem to have stopped. Raspberry tea, pineapple, long walks in the woods with the dog, jiggery pokery, bouncing on a birthing ball, hot bath, you name it, I've done it.

My sis in law had her bubba on Friday which just makes me all the more jealous!

Feeling a bit better about the money situation about bf has finally been paid for the month of Sep, so we are okay for this month at least!

Made a lemon tart today which looks quite good. Starting to get a tad bored of being at home. Today is the start of my 7th week off work and part of me wishes I worked a little longer, but the other commuters on the tube not giving me a seat was enough to put me off as I had a long commute in front of me each day.

Re alcohol. I've had little bits here and there. Had a few glasses of wine and I have radlers and shandies, but made with a lot more orange juice or lemonade rather than beer, rather than half and half like what I used to.

Re bellybutton. Mine hasn't popped out, but it is pretty flat. What isn't particularly pretty is the piercing above it, but hey ho, these things happen.

Polly I've taken my piercing out for the time being... I've got a deep innie but figured I'd rather not have the piercing than get it all horridly stretched
ShellSuit - welcome to my world :rotfl:
It's horrid though isn't it? :( thankfully the cyclizine knocks me out in the evening so sleeping through isn't a problem :D
Definitely see your GP - They will probably ask you for a urine sample to make sure your not dehydrating etc as for a certificate it's a week you can self certify for. Most GPs won't do you a letter until after that but mine was really lovely - I explained that I'd rather just have a letter and pay for it for personal reasons - I'm very wary of people thinking i'm just "skiving" because I used to be in charge of a large number of people and it always bugged me and it was a stress I'd rather do without just for my peace of mind - shouldn't have worried as being admitted to hospital kinda eliminated any doubts of me not really being poorly LOL

SB, So glad all is well, I had the protein in my wee/infection thing a few weeks ago, I could not believe how painful it was, I found drinking pints and pints of water really helped clear it up.

  • SB I am so glad that you and BabySB are doing okay. Have fun collecting all your wee over the next 24 hours! Would be interesting to see how much there is I guess

Has anyone else thought that finding out just confirmed what they already knew? I suppose it was a 50/50 chance but I am pretty convinced that I knew he was a boy already - it was one of the things that made me want to find out really - everybody was telling us that it was a girl and I just knew deep inside that he wasn't IYSWIM.

Now at least I don't have to argue with hubby about calling it Trixabelle or something equally hideous  (no offense to any trixabelles intended :o )

I just haven't got a clue about any boys names

Glad you're not in labour SB, could you imagine having 2 october babies! Hope things clear up soon for you.
MFD, we found out that we're having a boy but I was so surprised, was convinced that it was a girl due to my terribe morning sickness.
I'm 35weeks tomorrow and have come down with a terrible cold so feeling quite sorry for myself.
    Hope everyone else is wellxx

    Good afternoon folks

Today I'm 12weeks+5 but I honestly can't remember if I posted last week after my scan but it went brilliantly:D; my consultant did the nuchal fold assessment and the risk of Down's and Edwards Syndromes (I'm uber-low risk after having had the scan).

Anyway, she's 70% convinced it's a girl we're having but she'll confirm in a month when I have another scan at 16 weeks. I think Wayne wanted a boy but within 24 hours he was talking about his what a great papa he'll be to his little princess:rolleyes: Although I agree I'm still terribly cautious about it and didn't want to get anything but I'm starting to feel like this time I'll get a baby at the end of it pregnancy!

My nausea and dry heaving seemed to last from week 5 to week 10, with only mild symptoms from week 10 to last week. I'm still really tired all the time though but it seems to be getting bearable now.

    Hope everyone else is ok
