Thanks Tine, I think I will ask the midwife in the morning... It really wasn't this bad for me last time, I was still working and keeping pregnancy a secret until about 10 weeks with DD... There is no way I could do that this time around, I'm so glad I don't have to go into an office now!! (Oh, and DH is convinced it's a boy this time... we will see...)

AM, its great when people give you things isn't it!!! I got rid of most of DD stuff, it was all 2nd hand and I was alone so didn't want it all hanging around because there was no immediate plans for more... This time round I have the cotbed (DD still sleeps in it so need to get her a bed soon!) and I'm waiting for my Mum to retrieve a chair she lent to her friend but I don't think I will be buying a whole lot... Maybe a new steriliser for the breast pump... Or I might see if a friend still has hers going spare.... Can't think of anything else, bar cloth nappies that we will really need...

FG, I am gutted the rat died (her name was baby so I'm being really careful, don't want to say baby died and have people get the wrong idea!) but she had a good long life for a rat... I don't think it would be healthy to hang onto her body tho... DH suggested burying her but I don't want the kitties to dig her up again so she's gone into the wheelie bin I'm afraid....
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Hi MFD - I think starting him off with a view to being a p0rn star might give him some ego issues ;) hehehehe But well done for him being happy to pose for the scan camera :)
I can't wait till the 20th week so we can find out what team bean is batting for :) We have decided to find out although initially we didn't want to know... It's purely for practical reasons to be honest... all our relatives live abroad and well most would like to send something before the baby arrives... and for those who knit it means they can pick the colour before they start work lol
Personally I'd prefer neutral colours but I know regardless of what I want I will end up with pink things if we have a girl... *sigh* :)

Congratulations to all the new mums and thosewho have just joined the list, I had to stop in when I saw the list was on part 3, I was one of the founder members back on part 1. My DS is now 14 months old.

Reading all your symptoms and stories is making me broody again, even for the horrendous sickness and SPD I had. I imagine it won't be that long before DH and I start thinking TTC again, maybe some of you will still be around.

    Good luck everyone.

Hello, first time poster on this board pregnant with our first baby :-)

By my dates I am 12 weeks today and have my scan on Friday to confirm due date. I have had it really easy, no MS or nausea really. It is a good thing but makes me feel less confident that there is actually a baby inside me! Counting down the days until the scan, will feel a lot better then!!
Our dream has come true... :D

SB got everything crossed hope all is well and let us know when you can xx

FD congrats on your little boy!! typical man flashing it about lol!!

luckily we have been given a few things but really am needing clothes? as all mine are blue and we need pink lol!

was thinking in shower today(i know not like me eh!) but for those of you with babies already what was the best gadget/item you had that you could not have lived without? i have 2 lol one was a baby bath seat which left you with both hands free while baby was well supported and also the baby swing which rocked them away while i got ready/had dinner/needed a min! was only thinking of this as my sister is pregnant with her first and wanted to get her something useful and not baby clothes!!
What's for you won't go past you

I'm gonna have to go to the Doctors in the morning.

Can't eat a thing today, poor Steve made the corned beef hash I wanted last night, but when he gave me my plate, I turned green. Spooned some of it into a bowl and ate a little, but it just made me feel worse.

Had about 3 hours sleep last night, went to bed at 1am, woke up at 4am and sat on the edge of the bed for over an hour trying to breathe, this cold I have is horrid!

Chest is killing me today, nose is so sore from blowing it and cough is really bad, so I rang Steve and asked him to pop into a chemists to see if he could pick something up for me, to be told that they couldn't give him anything for me and to go see my GP.

What I'd give right now to be able to squeeze some Vicks Sinex up my nose!!!

I'm meant to be back at work on Wednesday, but if I still feel like this tomorrow, I might ask the Doctor to sign me off for a week. I know I don't need a sicknote as yet (it's after the 3rd day off isn't it?), but work are totally unsympathetic and will probably think I'm taking the pish as I've just had 2 weeks off for holiday.

I can't face it...cooked foods, cooked meats, raw meats, I feel ill just thinking about it, bleughhhhhh!

    Hope everything is OK SB

Congrats on your little blue bump MFD

Had a fabulous weekend, but it's fairly taken it out of me. Really feeling pregnant now!!! Can't believe where the time is going, that's me 25wks+1 already :D

Re: alcohol, the current guidence is to avoid totally, however, my midwife said that this is because the message of nil is easier that explaining units to people and that 1-2 units once a week or so was absolutely fine :D I've kept to a glass on a special occassion and found I haven't missed it at all.
