Thats raised a point, if you have an avent steriliser (about the only bit of baby equipment we kept for some reason) are you stuck with avent bottles? or will other brands of bottles fit in it?
Same question with teats as well if anyone knows, last time mil had TT Nuby teats on avent bottles and they worked fine but I notice that nuby teats don't seem to be around anymoreMFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -
Mothercare wide fit teats fit avent bottles too.A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Wow - busy busy thread today.
I won't babysit my grandson when my daughter works 3 days a week - but she qualifies for child care assistance, so she takes him to a local nursery (which he loves). Two 2 year olds for 3 days in a row is a bit much, especially now with morning sickness kicked in! But I will have him on the days the nursery is closed for the holidays or if he is ill and can't go to nursery. It gives DS & I time to ourselves to do things together, which we otherwise wouldn't have. But I should point out that they live with us, so we see him every single day - we get plenty of time with him. And we pick him up from nursery for her those 3 days before tea and feed him tea and watch him until she gets home.
I am a SAHM, but it certainly has affected our finances. If I worked, I would just be working to pay for child care, which seems a bit silly. I used to work a pretty well paying job, prior to our move, but it was stressful and involved long and odd hours, and DH & I decided that it was just too much after DS was born. I tried to go back to work fulltime after maternity leave - tried it for about 6 months - hated every minute of it. Love being home now - and I've started doing Usborne books - just as a way of getting out a bit more and possibly just a little money. DH doesn't get a very high wage, but we try to economise where we can.
It's funny, but when DD was an infant, we were told (in the states) to sterilise the bottles/nipples before using, but that after that once, just wash them in warm soapy water and rinse well with water. Which is what we did. So when DH brought home a steriliser to use daily for DS, I admit I was puzzled. It's so weird - when they're crawling they're putting EVERYTHING in their mouths - their feet, their hands, dust bunnies (well, at least in our house ewww), anything they could find - yet we're boiling water and sterilising their bottles. :rotfl:MSE mum of DS(7), and DS(4) (and 2 adult DCs as well!)DFW Long haul supporters No 210:snow_grin Christmas 2013 is coming soon!!! :xmastree:0 -

TT also used to give a voucher code if you request a brochure from their website  x

Fingers crossed! ps I checked TT website and it seems they are phasing out the nubby teats as they only had medium ones left and they're on offer but I'm sure boots do a similar style in case you want them later on.
Carla: I'm still recovering from the cold from hell  official line is paracetamol or cocodamol if it gets too much. and good old honey and lemon to drink.
I cheated a few times with throat sweets, olbas oil (there is a chance olbas is safe provided it doesn't get on your skin) and 2 nights I used sudafed nasal spray coz I couldn't sleep but mostly I just took paracetamol :A0 -
