Hi chopsticks. This is my 4th baby (6th pg) With babies 1 & 2 I had no ms at all. Bbay 3 I had it from v early on all day every day until I actually gave birth. Pg 5 I had ms from 8weeks (my clue I was pg). This baby I had ms starting at about 6 weeks (well, it started as evening sickness) and then it suddenly stopped at just before 11 weeks - no calm down on it - one day I was throwing up all day, the next I just felt queasy and the day after nothing - lasted about 2 - 2 1/2 weeks with nothing. I'm 17 weeks now and occasionally am sick (maybe once every couple of days?)
It's just to say everyone and every pg is different. I posted on here after my ms went away - I didn't feel pg and was worried (was bleeding too) - but all is ok with this one.
((hugs)) for you. This pregnancy lark is hard - mentally and physically!

Hi greent,
Thank you for replying. It's really good to hear other people's experiences.
My pregnancy sounds similar to your current one - my ms started at about 7.5 weeks and then stopped last week. Like you, mine was mainly evening sickness. I've probably been sick about 8 evenings in total. There was only one morning when I was actually sick, although I did feel sick most of every day, it's just that I wasn't actually sick.
I know I'm perhaps just worrying about nothing but I just don't feel pregnant anymore. The only thing that makes me feel like I perhaps am is that I'm waking up about 4:30am and needing to go to the loo, whereas normally I sleep the whole night through.
On Sami-Bee's and Skintchick's advice, I called my local EPU this morning. I spoke to a really nice lady who said everything you lovely ladies have said...that ms can disappear at any time and it doesn't mean anything is wrong etc. I then mentioned that I hadn't received my scan appt and she said "let me put you through to the dept". Two rings and it was answered!! I think she must have had a special hotline
Anyway, the man I spoke to said that my scan had been booked and didn't know why I hadn't received the letter. So, that is good news. The bad news is that it's not until 29th Dec, which is nearly another three weeks.
I have been in tears tonight as I just need to know NOW that everything is OK (or not), so DH said for me to ring around and try and get a private scan booked. I have found somewhere that can fit us in this Sat, so that's good. Just another three days to get through! If my NHS scan had been next week, I'd have probably waited (that's the MSE in me) but I can't wait until after Xmas to find out.
Thank you again for all your advice, I am very grateful.

LOL sami - think of it as a public service
And caz I know battery operated items only work so often (hence why DH suggested I bought this one hehehe at least he hasn't got to go out on wet evenings to get me batterieshad it a good while now and best investment EVER...) but when DH won't play with me... well needs must! Keeps mumbling about stress at work...

Oh another thing, when I spoke to the private scan clinic tonight, I said that I didn't want a transvaginal scan (is that right phrase?) if possible and she said that at ten weeks (I'll be 10+5 on Sat) that I should probably be OK not to have one and can have a normal ultrasound scan.
Does that match with other people's experiences?0 -
Chopsticks - fingers crossed for you
Just about the only blessing about feeling so sick was I knew Bean was hanging on tight! But when I HAVEN'T felt sick I haven't really felt pregnant either... OK so now the belly sticks out and it's a little different but early on... on the few occasions it lifted I could have easily forgot I was pregnant so don't fret too much

So did I, I begged, I cried, they said no, stupid temperature :-(
They, both boys and girl's, can have swollen breasts as well, apparantly they can even lactate sometimes! Celia had a period too, it's pretty common in baby girl's it would seem but it was pretty scary seeing blood in her nappy! (Just the once and we did check wuth a midwife who sounded like she had the phone call a lot!)
I've had that (pregnancy is stupid, it pretty much broke me!) and I didn't mind the taste, kind of like syrup I thought! Let's put it this way I've had worse, the elixor I took for ms tasted like gone off oranges, not brilliant when you feel extremely sick! but it worked, both of them!
ahhh you're lurking too lolfancy seeing you here!

I had one at 6 weeks and one at 12+1... I think it depends on if baby is playing ball really... At 6 weeks it was hiding like a naughty baby and she had to go in which wasn't all that pleasant! At 12 it bounced and was very easy to see normally from a belly scan... I'd say you should be ok as it's nearly 11 weeksDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!
