rosies mum - matthew is gorgeous. Thanks for sharing pictures and your story
Right folks - logging off for the night. I'm going for a long soak in the bath before curling up with a couple of magazines and my current read - Sir Ranulph Feinnes autobiography. Having a baby has got to be easier than what he went throughr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
AM - Thinking of you, and I think you should be thinking more of you too. :grouphug:
I think another poster said earlier SS are more likely to take action if kids are in an unhealthy home environment, who/whatever the cause. Would you be able to reason with him and explain that he needs to move out for this reason, and take steps from there??
I am not judging you just concerned, I am finding this pregancy lark hard enough with out all the extra worries you are having hun!:o0 -
Right gang... I know we have covered this before but I haven't the energy to check the thread
When did you first feel movement? I'm 15+5 now and apart from a tingle a good few weeks ago that I now don't think was Bean I haven't felt anything yet! Getting a little concerned! I am very aware of anything belly down incase it MIGHT be Bean but nothing... not even a little tickle...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

MrsTine - I felt first movements at about 14 weeks I think, but they didn't become regular till about 16 or 17. They are well established now at 19+4, but he still has days off.
According to all the things I've read, loads of women don't feel anything till 19+ weeks.

Hi there,
I'm a newbie looking for a bit of advice I think.
I think I have just found out I am pregnant. (1 positive test, 1 negative, going to test again in a few days. feeling really sick, which prompted the tests!)I already have a lovely 11month son and was planning on have more children, just not yet! I currently work 2 part time jobs and just can't afford to have 2 children in childcare. My husband is about to start teacher training in jan so his salary is low and living off the one salary seems impossible! We currently have a mortgage, but due to the current financial climate we are dangerously close to the mortgage exceeding the value of the house. Can anyone give any advice on how we can manage this? I assume we will need to sell the house but even renting I can't see how we will afford this. Does anyone know if we will be entitled to any help? Obviously abortion is not an option!
Any advice is very welcome
Thanks

Hi WF - It is always the most stressful part of finding out you are pregnant isn't it!!
We live on a tight budget, as dh has just become a full-time student and I work in a part-time job... The only advice I can offer is don't sell your house thinking you will get housing benefit, because you will not get any unless you can prove you were about to be made homeless through repossession due to being unable to afford to keep up mortgage payments.......believe me I have been there, we only just proved it as court proceedings had already started to take our house and then the council were playing hard ball. You will be entitled to an increase in Tax Credits as your huband student income and his teacher training bursary (if he gets one) aren't taken into account for this.
Maybe you could drop to one job, keeping it at or slightly above 16hrs that way you will receive maximum tax credits also don't forget your dh will be able to get a childcare grant from his uni....as you won't be able to claim it through tax cred as you both need to be working 16+hrs.
The other thing for you to look at is decreasing your outgoings as far as possible......we had to give up our car this year as we can't afford to run it whilst dh a student!!!!
Hope that helps.

ps congratulations on the pregnancy.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

just thought I'd add, don't forget to contact your mortgage provider to see if they could maybe extend the term of your mortgage or something to reduce the monthly payments until your OH has finished his training, remember neg equity is only a problem if your planning on selling/remortgaging which would be a silly thing if you don't need to in a few years it'll be out of neg equity (fingers crossed)0

Evening all..
AM - *hugs* Unfortunately I have nothing to add in the way of advice, but please keep talking to us if it helps you
Tiredness has well and truly hit me like brick wall!If I've had the chance, I've been zonked out on the sofa for a few hours each evening. Normally, I go to bed at 1am, but last night I was asleep on the sofa from about half ten til OH woke me up at two and within sixty seconds I was undressed, in bed and fast asleep again!
My elasticated PJ bottoms are at full stretch already.. Hmm, I envy everyone who can stay in their normal clothes until twenty-odd weeks! When everything "moves up", or whatever it's supposed to do, will I be able to do my low jeans back up again, or is that them gone forever?!I'd best ask for vouchers for a new wardrobe for Christmas..
Have got an earlier morning tomorrow, helping my mum was a table top sale, then again on Sunday for a christening - no lie-ins all weekend!
Hope everyone else is okay xx0 -
elle it doesn't ever move up out of the way
just that further up sticks out to join whats already out (and more), what ever doesn't do up now won't until after the birth - if your lucky that is xx
