I was given some great cream called (I think) Lansinoh(sp?) which you apply after each feed and don't need to wash off. It was great. Ask your m/w or HV and see if they can recommend anything else.

We borrowed a moses basket which got quite a lot of use until Imogen was about 4.5 months old and could break out of her swaddling. We were wondering what was waking her up until one night we caught her windmilling her arms and bashing them on the sides. That was the point when she went in her own room in her cot (as no room for it in our room). She was sleeping through so it seemed to make sense. Although the new advice on why they should stay in your room as long as possible (something to do with synchronised breathing and your breathing reminding them to breathe I think?) would make me think twice about moving the new one so early.

Sami - I also sold mat stuff on Ebay and it went quite well. I sold individual items (JoJo, M&P) and then a bundle. I have kept a few choice pieces, including a lovely Bloomin Marvellous dress which I bought for my sister's wedding.

Oh heck, don't say that otherwise the wrong list has been used for pages and pages back as I've just checked! :eek::rotfl:. I can't seem to find her but then again, I'm also trying to watch Little Dorrit at the same time!

Emma -Isla is beautiful...what a cute avvy!!

Molly - ha ha - I have that feeling of [STRIKE]smugness[/STRIKE] denial too...whenever anyone is having problems with babies or kids etc I feel sorry for them and thank my lucky stars that bubba is not going to be like that!! Methinks I may be in for a bit of a shock.


Hubby and I had a wander around mothercare today (still not buying anything but maternity clothes!!) and he is quite taken by the quinny speedi - any thoughts anyone? I think I was so overwhelmed with his declaration of 'I have found us the right buggy) as I mooched through the (mostly frumpy) maternity clothes that I just went blank and said I thought it was a bit big but I like the look of it...

I thought I had decided I wanted a moses basket but you girls are changing my mind...I have also been a big fan of babies in their own room as early as poss but the guidance is starting to worry me slightly...any thoughts from the old hands?
