  • I'm very hungry too...and I only managed to finish my breakfast a couple of hours ago! I've just got back from the clinic having had my blood test..and am hoping that everything will be okay. Also feel like having a nap now...but I have a French exam tomorrow (thought I'd seen the end of those after I finished school!) that I really should do some revision for...:o

Morning! Does anyone else have crazy insomnia? I've been having trouble getting to sleep for a few days but last night was insane! I had to pu the light back on and read after an hour of lying there listening to OH snore, and then I read until nearly 4am before I felt sleepy!

I checked in my book and apparently it is normal so that's great as I really want a normal PG this time, but blimey it's annoying!

Anyone else suffering or got any tips on dealing with it? I have to be acareful not to wake OH as he has to go to work - I'm so glad I'm not working right now as I'd suffer so badly with that little sleep.

  • I had problems staying asleep past about 6am at the start of my pregnancy...it didn't matter how much sleep I'd actually had and whether it was the weekend or not. In fact, that's what made me start to wonder if I was pregnant..however for the last couple of weeks (I'm 9 weeks now) it's been completely different as I seem to want to sleep the whole time....DH would probably point out that this isn't much different from normal :rotfl:. I think that my body's standard response to any stress is to fall asleep, which was never much use when I was trying to revise for exams! (And I never learnt...I used to carry on revising on my bed and then wonder what had happened when I woke up two hours later covered in pieces of paper..)

I have difficulty getting to sleep too. I tend to stay in bed from about 11pm till lunchtime, and have a nap at about 4-6pm. I need my sleep!

My nightmares have also increased - I tended to have one or two nightmares a week, but now its every single night. OH won't let me watch horror movies as he things it makes things worse!

I've got a physio appointment for 1st Decemeber. Its a pain management in pregnancy class, and then I should get to have a one-on-one because of how early in pregnancy I am.
