He's up now.. tempted him out of his pit with a cuppa! He's done rather well, cash-wise, just from the cards he got from my family - think we might have to go out to town later!

I didn't actually get him a present - he said there was nothing he wanted (doesn't like me spending money on him) so I put the money in the Baby Fund and made him some vouchers for time together and a selection of his fav chocolate bars, which he's now happily eating for breakfast (more 6 year old than 36!).

Aye, mine's an easily-pleased cheap date! ;) Very MSE! :D
  • Congratulations Bargainaholic, hes so cute. Sounds like you were describing some of my labour at times. My DS Charlie was back to back, heartbeat kept stopping when I was on the hormone drip etc but fortunatley I didn't make it to theatre but sounds like I was damn close to it! And he weighed 8lb 10oz but that was big enough!!

  • Thanks for sharing, Bargain! Charlie is adorable!!! xxx

I had quite a few similar experiences with Poppy, including the taking of blood from her head before she born......which somehow I had managed to forget about until now!:rotfl:.

Ladies, it really is true that you forget [STRIKE]everything[/STRIKE] most things once your baby is in your arms :D.

And my son is due exactly one month today!!! :j

    Hiya SB,

Are you anywhere near one of the other Baby Shows? Maybe if you take both LOs, you'll get double the discounts and freebies! ;)

The Manchester one was really close as we live in Merseyside . We treked to Birmingham earlier in the year to the NEC but I was not even 3m then so could race around the bargains! :D.

I'm due on Friday but still in denial that I'm going to get one of those again at the end of it. It seems to be dragging on forever, think I'm going to be in for a shock unless I start getting my head around it all soon LOL! No twinges or signs or anything, think its in there for the long haul.

How exciting! :j Are your bags all packed and your notes by the door?! :D

  • Why is it that I'm not excited?! Maybe just getting bored waiting! Well, bags packed but I'm still expecting to be 2 weeks late like DD was! Sorry, I sound a grump don't I! x

Nearest one to us is Birmingham - in May of next year, less than a week before my due date!

What sort of freebies have people got from them? Just wondering if I can be bothered at that late stage..... (the other 3 have been late)
