  • My 12 week scan was at 13+1, and my 20 week one will be at 21+2. They did whinge about me needing one and not giving them enough notice!

Goodness ladies, I spend one day away from my pooter and you fill 3pages!
Well had my scan and bubs is looking good (yey!) Christopher was really excited and kept waving at the screen.
Was kept waiting quite a bit wich was not good with a full bladder but MW said they were understaffed today so hopefully will be better nxt time .
Had a bit of a bad experience with the sonographer as she mentioned blood results and I said there wouldn't be any as I've declined them and she gave me a lecture about why they need to be done and even told me that my baby would be treated as if it had Hep B because I declined the test
When I told midwife she said she'd never heard of that so checked with 2 other MWs (one of which is a specialist in drug using mothers) and they said that it wasn't true! I couldn't believe some woman scared me so much by telling me a lie!

Got my pics for free tho Woo! sorry if they huge and a bit poop photobucket isn't working on my silly linux using web book and I took them with dig cam

Woah they really were massive so thought it best to just pop a link on so have a peak here http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj188/kool4kiwi/
Ps. I was exactly 11wks for this scan, next one I'll be 19+2 MW said it's a 18-20 wk scan
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

    Morning all,

Lovely scan pics Sami_Bee. Can't believe the sonographer told you that when it wasn't even true. I didn't go much on the sonographer i had at my 12 week scan, but the woman that did my 20 week one was lovely. I could stop thanking her enough.

Welcome mummy2mygirls. Pull up a seat and enjoy yourself as this is a great thread to be involved in. I'm going to miss it next year when I wont be pregnant any longer. Don't forget to pull up the last (most recent) list with all our dates and add yourself to it. Its quite scary how quick you move up the list.

Nothing much from me this morning other than it's pay day and i think accounts have messed mine up  so not looking forward to getting the SMP though

In our area, they are all between ten and eleven weeks. My last one was booked for 10+5.

They don't take your word for it on the FDOLP - they put any old due date in the box on the booking form until you've had a scan.

I'm twelve weeks on Boxing Day so it's not possible to have a scan then.

    :T That's when I'm 12 weeks too! :T

on the jinxing thing. Last time I was so worried before anytthing had even gone wrong (I think it was actually that somewhere inside me I knew that teh baby had stopped growing) and I desperately wanted a scan which is why I know about private ones, and my friend said I should pretend I had a bleed and that way they would give me one - about an hour later I began bleeding for real and lost the baby! I really felt I'd jinxed it in some way but now I think I just knew deep inside something had gone wrong which was why I got so worried and scared.

I'm planning on having my first NHS scan in early Jan as I think I am probably not as far on as the FDOLP would imply considering it is actually first day of mc not AF.

Plus it's OH's and my birthdays in January so it will be like a pressie!

  • Something I have been a bit miffed by......plus size maternity clothes dont exist if you are over size 20 to 22.

Although I have discovered that Matalan make stretchy pants for larger women that are smart enough to wear to the office! Yay! :D

Does anyone know of plus size maternity wear?

Oh and Bra's, I am a 44 C which only exists in Avon, but me babylons are getting bigger, so can I still get measured in M&S even though I dont exist in their ranges?

I wouldn't use M&S personally - they have a reputation for being rubbish! But you have the perfect excuse to go and get measured at the most expensive place you can find...and not have to actually fork out for one of their bras!!

M&S suck. Go to John Lewis as they are great.
