Actually I just prefer not calling the midwife as frankly she was a miserable moo... barely smiled at any point - oh and she never asked OH to leave the room to check I wasn't suffering from domestic abuse or anything! I thought they were supposed to do that?

  • Hiya All!

Congrats on your blue bump MFD & glad that SB is ok too :)

Just wanted to come on & say ..

Happy Due Date to me !!! :j:j

No sign of baby though ..
Everyone was convinced I would go early because of the size of my bump & now I'm so chuffed that I have prepared myself for another 2 weeks of this! Well at least I have a sweep on Thursday (although I'm really nervous about having this done!!) which is where they will book me for an induction too.

It's also my birthday on Monday 20th October & I'm really hoping baby will come on that day.. If it does then the DOB will be 20/10/08... my DOB is 20/10/80 so will be really special if this happens :D

    So excited now! Nearly there.

Ticklepenny did you get it at hospital then as you had your scan today? And was there a reason they scanned you so early?

  • MrsTine - I got mine when I went for my 12 week scan. TBH I am not sure that it is anything worth worrying about  as far as I remember I think I just had a massive moan about all the extra !!!! that I had to throw away - as if I don't get enough junk mail in the first place

Oooo look - the MSE filter doesn't like c rap any more than I do!!!

LOL thanks MFD - I will wait for the scan in that case :D it's only a few weeks away anyway so it's no biggie :)
At the moment I've applied for every freebie under the sun so no doubt I'll be inundated with junk mail too LOL

  • Oh yes - let the junk mail begin!

We have the nosiest neighbours in the world and I was purposefully not telling them that I was expecting and hiding my bump with a strategically placed bag or coat etc.

Then at 18 weeks I received a load of mail that said on the envelope 'Are you looking forward to your 20 weeks scan?' - bl00ming neighbours came into the porch to collect mail and push it through into the house so the game was completely given away

phew finally caught up! Haven't been on since friday morning as been sick as the proverbial dog ever since! _pale_ I'm finding that being hungry makes it much worse but the inclination to eat has disappeared so have to keep reminding myself to eat which is no longer a fun thing! I'm living off toast, oven chips, mash, and almost plain pasta fresh air helps a bit so dragged myself out with DS yesterday to feed the ducks which are only 2min walk away but its raining today :(
I wasn't feeling anywhere near as bad as this at this stage with DS so wondering if it could be a girl and strangely feeling a bit sad at the thought of a pink bump, I didn't realise how much I wanted another boy, although I think its because we've already picked a boys name and have been talking about a little brother for chris for months and months. makes me want to find out at the 20wk scan even more now (hubby wants a surprise:rolleyes:)

Mrs Tine: did you say a nuchal fold scan is £180 in your area? blooming postcode lottery! it only takes about 10 mins extra on the scan and is free up ere in wonderful wigan - wish I earned that much for 10mins work!!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
