I have said this before and I'll say it again and probably won't be very popular for doing so but hey ho... :D

You ladies worry me to death! All this testing is doing you no good at all. You do realise that the stress and pressure you are putting yourselves under can make AF late and/or affect your chances of conceiving?
If you get a neg, why do another test the next day? Leave it a few days at least if you feel you have to do another one at all.

I have found that since I no longer symptom spot I feel so much more calm about TTC. Because I haven't convinced myself I am pg I don't feel as gutted when AF arrives. Of course I am disappointed but not as bad as I used to feel.

Believe me I know how easy it is to let TTC become the only thing on your mind 24/7 but it really does you no good at all.

Please don't any of you take this the wrong way, its hard to put tone and feeling into a post.
I mean what I say with the absolute best of intentions.......but you all still worry me :D

I had very much tried not to symptom spot, but it's pretty hard not to notice vomit.;)

Tbh, I think taking the test this morning has done me good. I feel so undeniably pregnant I would have treated my AF as a miscarriage. This way I can hopefully put it to the back of my mind again and if/when my AF comes I will accept it better. Although from now on I'll avoid walking anywhere until I'm sure my breakfast has fully digested.

Right well ive been talking to my OH the last few nights about the whole baby and he agreed that once we see our morgage payment go out and its as much as it should be and he can then be at ease, we can start trying. low and behold, its gone out today. so we are now officially are now TTC as of tonight :) i thought id be really pleased and excited and although i am, im very frightened. dont get me wrong, i do want this. maybe it just all feels a bit too grown up for me, even though im now 26!! after all these months of waiting and crying and being emotional over this, its finally here.

ive bought hubby some vitamins and got myself some for people trying to conceive.

im on CD10 so just in time to start trying for this month although im really not expecting a positive this month, what with it already being cd10 i already feel ive missed it as weve not been BDing at all this week. well, apart from monday. so in mind mind as its not been every other day since CD1, it wont happen. plus im not that lucky! but hey its cool! theres been no EWM or whatever there abbriviation is just yet. thanks to this thread, i know what to look for and have seen it the last few cycles. also worked out that although my cycles are not dead on acurate in days each month, they have been generally 29. 29 or later anyway

although i know when im ovulating sort of, im not going to stress out or work out temps or anything. like ive said to my mum when i said the time is right, we will just relax, enjoy it and if it happens it happens... no duobt ill be sayng the opposite in a months time!!

so cheers everyone, heres to the journey! xxx

I was convinced that I was pregnant last month, and like Shelly I usually try not to symptom spot. However, I had all the signs I'd had with my previous two successful pregnancies, knew I had ovulated, and that we had been trying very hard at the right time ;) , and my period didn't come until 17 days dpo. However all my tests were BFN and my period still came. Funnily enough, even though I am only day 10, and know I haven't yet ov'd, I still have a lot of the pg symptoms yet know I am definitely not, as we're having fertility treatment at the moment which includes lots of scans, which would have showed something by now even if the double evidence of BFN and AF weren't enough to convince.

I think (and not trying to be a downer to anyone) that there may well be a virus around at the moment which is causing nausea and sickness, and a few of the other early pg nasties. As Shelly says, try to keep your hopes in check at least until AF is late, and leave a sensible time between tests. I did 6 last month, which was definitely overkill, and 6 BFNs are much worse than just 1!

Well I didn't manage that. I puked three times while I was walking the dogs. Just a tiny amount each time, like baby spew but with cornflakes in._pale_

Nikki, i had the vomitting bug and everyone thought i was pregnant, but i didn't!!! All my family think we must be ttc as we got married earlier in the year and i am 33, so i should hurry up. I refuse to tell them they are right, and tell them it is silly to think that being sick means i am pregnant!

No symptom spotting again this month, if possible! On CD 7 so lets see how things go if we just relax and have fun :) Well at least BDing helps keep me warm at the moment! ;)

    Baby dust to all.

I agree with you Shelly but it's so hard not to get obsessed - I often feel a bit nore normal after coming on this thread! :D

It's especially a nightmare on the symptom spotting front when you've not long had a miscarriage - I've got everything crossed for you Gracie P x

I haven't heard of a sickness bug going round but apparently contrary to some people's beliefs being sick isn't the most common sign of early pregnancy it seems (that's not to say it's not the first sign for everyone though - my sister threw up every day of all 3 of her pregnancies - she didn't stop throwing up whilst in labour either!...yuk!)

I wouldn't mind too much if it wasn't a symptom of pregnancy, if I'm feeling so icky this early on (I've been a little sick now 6 times in the last 30 hours) I'd be frightened of ending up like your sister.:o I think the nausea and sickness normally kicks in from about 6 weeks, if I'm pg it's kicked in at 4, which makes me 33% sicker than normal.:p

It's nothing like a vomiting bug, I'm keeping about 98% of all my food down, it's just tiny, tiny amounts of sick. I also have intense dyspepsia, which I've only ever had while pg and a little bit before AF last month.
